Hart glad you now have your hand back.
Taliah congrats to you and your little ones.
Well did my main shop at 8.30am in asda , came home put it all away then had a well deserved cuppa . My oh then got out a bucket and mixed up some paste so my hall walls are now all painted and papered just need to work our way up the stairs with the paint now. Tomorrow will be refixing the rad cover and hanging the mirror and pics. took my gd to the hairdressers at 4 then when i got back her sister was here to sleep over and her cousin my 10 week old grandson came to stay till his dad finished work at 7.30 as his mum went to bingo with her sister.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Hart - so pleased for you that you have had your stiches out, just take care and don't do too much too soon.
Horace, I know what you mean as I'm in the process of setting up in business as well as working for another company on a casual basis. If I didn't have my box files I'd be lost.
Spent all day today at work, which spurred OH into a cleaning frenzy and kitch and bathroom are now clean tidy and fresh smelling. He will tackle the hall and landing tomorrow in stages, and do my ironing on Thursday as he can sit down to do this.
We've agreed to go back to having delivery from MrT for our big weekly shop, and just potter into town on Saturday morning to do library and other bits and pieces. Looking at petrol prices as long as we go for the cheapest delivery, the saving on both time and petrol is worth it. Plus it helps to keep a better check on our spending.
I did have a quick peek at a flylady page a few days ago and it gave me an attack of the vapours! All those lists of things to do EVERY DAY :rotfl: I doubt I'd finish one day's list in a week (or month if I'm honest). As long as the house is clean and reasonably tidy that's fine so I can get on with the important stuff (reading, internet, gardening and crafts).0 -
Hi
I was wondering if I could join in. My house looks like it has been ramsacked. I've not managed to do much in the past week which hasn't helped the mess, with trying to get a TMA finished for an open uni course. I'm hoping to get stuck in to the mess this holiday weekend when i'm off work.
With this crazy weather we are getting just now I can't get any washing out, I find it's not drying great indoors eather cause of the damp air with the rain.

Thanks for the friendly welcomes everyone, you are all just so very nice here!! Sorry not to reply individually to all posts but am busily trying to get ready for going off on a few days camping tomorrow, starnge thing is when we go away I am most organised and tidy, unlike at home !
Debbie welcome ! I am new here, ramsacked thats a good word and definately sums up my house too! Not worried about burglars breaking in whilst I am away , one look through the window and they will think that someone else has been already !
Will try and pop in again before we go but if not I will be catching up with all the posts when I get back at the weekend. Take care everyone and take it easy. x0 -

Morning fellow messies,
Beautiful sunny day here. Still struggling with my health but my friend came around yesterday and gave a real boost to proceedings in the fizz house. I now have an immaculately clean kitchen, living room and bathroom!!!! :j She even went through the food cupboards etc and threw out anything that was beyond use -one very brave lady and fantastic friend. :j
Her hard work has chivvied me into keeping on top of the washing up for a whole day. Long may it work!!! She is planning a return visit in acouple of weeks to top up and we're going for a biggie...... the office!!!
Hope you all have a great day. Just trying to plan mine now and there's always time for another coffee...... isn't there?

Morning Fellow Messy Folks.
I hope you are all well and dandy.
I was wide awake at midnight and decided I at 1am that I'd had enough lying about bored so got up. Anyway I ended up cleaning the kitchen, oven and microwave, doing a load of washing and putting it to dry, tidied the sitting room and the dining room, cut out some more cot sheet ready for sewing, finished the emulsion in the bathroom (at last :j), sorted out the flowers I had been given and threw out the dying ones, cleaned the toilet and sink, polished through downstairs, ate some crumpets, had two cups of tea, washed up, dried and put crocks away, watered the plants and put away DIY stuff. I then went back to bed and slept like a log until 8.30. I'm going to vacuum and mop downstairs this morning then avoid cleaning for the rest of the day. I do need to sort paperwork in the bedroom and find the loan paperwork to claim back PPI. Then I'm doing nice stuff only like sewing sheets and doing crafts only.
Sorry to waffle on but this amount of cleaning is a rarity in my house :oso I thought it was worth documenting.:rotfl:

Thank you for the welcome
The last few days when I have looked around my house it has reminded me of the Yellow Pages advert with the young guy and his friend comes to visit and thinks there has been intruders in his house becasue of the mess. I thought that advert was great and funny, although I'm not quite finding my mess amusing.

Morning messies, well by the time i type and post it will be afternoon
.
We have a lot of new messies here i see, welcome to all the new messies, i guess thats the reason i can hardly keep up with the posts now with all the messies new and old :rotfl::rotfl:.
I am having to have a quick clean around as one of my mates are coming round this afternoon for a natter and a coffee.
I have found a little something that works for me re decluttering, every Thursday is bin day so by Wednesday evening if my wheelie bin is not full to the brim i go round the house looking for stuff i cannot either re-cycle, give away, charity shop ect, to make sure the bin is totally full. Ok so it may sound a little crazy but this week i can get rid of parts of an old cat tree that has fallen appart and would stay in the spare room until i get round to sorting that room.
Well i hope everyone is having a productive day but for anyone who is having a CBA day, don't worry, tomorrows another day :A.
