Ester - don't the delivery drivers take carrier bags to recycle? When MrT delivers the driver is happy to take away carriers (not just their own) so when you need to get shot may be worth asking as it saves remembering to take them into town.

Busy day but not on the housework front - audiology appointment as my new behind the ear aids simply were too uncomfortable to wear (I have the wrong sort of ears apparently) so now awaiting an alternative. Luckily I still have my old ones so am using those ;)

Paperwork is breeding I swear it is - only filed everything a short time ago and now there is more  will tackle this tomorrow after taking OH for blood test. At least I have labelled the boxes so now at least know where everything should go.

My downstairs is looking 'passable' but my upstairs is a bombsite - well apart from my son's room (it's not finished yet!)

Hello Messies Old And New!! Parsniphead, that nesting instinct is kicking in!! Sequeena nursery looks lovely!! Hart glad your stitches are out, don't do too much.

Bad week so far, DS still unwell saw sleep specialist on Monday very helpful did full hist said I should hve come sooner,i've only been fighting it for 14mths! Sending Ds for hearing test too may need gromits! He threw up in waiting room :eek:no wipes in bag and only person to help was a heavily preganant traveller lady who even fetched DS a cup of water. Everyone else just looked and tutted!! DS been poorly since, threw up so badly last night Dh nearly followed suit. THank goodness for WM. He coughs so much with the mucus it makes him sick. He got sent home from nursery and then ran round all aft whilst I was trying to pin my eyes open. He's now in my bed still not eating or drinking causing me great angst!!

This morning the amazing Angela came from the childrens centre to help me. We cleared a corner of the lounge I haven't seen for some considerable time! She is only able to come for an hour but we whistle through it. She is so encouraging and doesn't seem to judge me but kicks my butt, nicely!! My mum was going to come and do my kitchen with me today but I had to postpone her because of DS. It's all babysteps. Stressing out as I can't get a coach to Sunderland to see Take That on Friday with my friend. Our Dh's wanted us to have a night in a hotel but thre is nothing available. Train is way too expensive. My car cost £390 yesterday for new tyres discs and ads on front and rear brake cylinder and tracking. I wasn't expecting all that!:mad: Hopefully tomorrow will be better!!

Sequeena your making me broody. I love the numbers on the drawers. Take it easy as you will need all your reserves for your new baby.

Esther hope you feel better soon.

Bed is made and washing put away. Im getting there.

Ex Trolly Im sorry to hear your sons so unwell . Have you tried taking him into the bathroom and running the hot water. The steam is usually really good for mucas. Also try patting his back whilst over your knee.

Thank you :) Those numbers are being scrubbed off so the drawers can be repainted. I can't wait!

    Sequeena - lovely picture
ExTrolley - have a hug [hug]
Soupdragon - I know exactly what you mean about paperwork - I loathe the stuff with a passion

DD has a Victorian Dasy at school today so she's gone in all dressed up
Dh took them into school so I did some ironing and put stuff in the TD - it keeps trying to rain so there is no chance of it going outside today

I need to pop over to Mum today to see her and check she's ok - she's suffering with depression although she would deny it, Dad died in Feb and she is struggling but will not seek help although the Vicar who did Dads crem has written to her offering her some bereavemnt loss sessions so I've said to her that she must go - its up to her as I can't force her to. Difficult times here with Mum as she's not always a very easy person to get on with and its her birthday on Saturday so she's thoroughly feed up at the moment

Anyway, off to do something now so catch ya laters gators

    That's a lovely room Sequeenqa.

I'm off to do some sorting of paperwork and tidying the bedroom before the midwife visits tomorrow. No more MSE until I have done something - I'm banning myself.;)

    Have a good day all.

Afternoon all. Feeling really pleased with myself. Woke up at 6am and decided to get up and make a start.

    So far I have:
Cut the front lawn and tidied a flower bed - back lawn was OK and it started raining so I came in.
Blitzed the downstairs loo, even scrubbed the floor and washed the blind.
Hoovered our bedroom, the landing and bathroom (cant face the kids rooms at the moment)
Blitzed the lounge, hoovered, dusted, cleaned out the fireplace, wiped the paintwork etc
    Hoovered the kitchen
Made a shepherds pie and put it in the slow cooker
Been to the doctors and had an injection

Oh and I had to make my poorly son go to school, despite lots of tears and protests, which I hate. He has health problems and only goes part time as it is and he just didnt want to be there today.

Hope everyone has had a good day - big hugs to all those having a hard time. I felt rubbish after the hospital visit with DS yesterday but being busy today has actually perked me up a bit.

Right off for to make some tea and more hoovering I think!
