Hi everyone!
Hope you don't mind me joining in - - my house isn't too messy but the studyoh it is sooooo bad! Mess makes me stressed so I do try my best to stay on top of things but there seem to be a few dumping grounds that have become apparent since I decided to become a fulltime housewife and mummy.
I have 3 hours this afternoon to clear and clean it - it is such a dumping ground and really needs organising. I really didn't want to have to buy any storage items so any tips gratefully received!
It's such a small room and amazing on how quickly it seems to get out of control.Cabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence!0 -

Hi mummy. My desk is used as a dumping ground by everyone. Im looking now at a stack of papers and variouse other stuff. I guess that you will find that once you have decluttered your study you will find that the storage you have now will be enough. Iv found that Iv lots of spare plastic boxes as Iv dejunked.
Have a look to see if you have room for shelves as they are a real space saver. Maybe use some colourfull boxes to store your papers in. Iv bought some files with plastic sleeves in to put that months income and outgoings in. Also keep one of each new bill in it so that I have the numbers to hand should I need to ring them.0 -
Crafty Granny your right kids are all the same when it comes to yapping. Iv just been running after a mouse in the front livingroom. The cat caught it but I tried to grab hold of it when she let go only for it to wriggle free. Dont want them to kill it.0

Was getting on so well, upstairs hoovered, shelves and books moved around so I have more space for filing boxes for photos. Hoovered hall and utility room and walked into the kitchen to discover OH had tipped toast crumbs all over the floor (he was emptying toaster and missed the bin). Had words - now sulking OH downstairs and I am retiring to do some soothing craft work. Honestly I don't know why I bother.
Thanks for listening to my rant - it does help to get this out rather than let it fester.0 -
