    Thanks for the support everyone

DD has sincerely apologised - she's very upset and is feeling very hormonal [she's 11 and just starting the awful trip down the monthly route!!!] I do feel very sorry for her cos although she is getting developed bodily wise she is still very immature in her head and its all very confusing

Helen really feel for your DD - I'm at the other end of that road and if she feels half as bad as I do sometimes I'm not surprised she can't always cope well. Hope things settle down for her (and you) soon.

Well what a funny old day it's been. Went into city to sort out some potential work and met lots of people I used to work with :) then into town for lunch and a little retail therapy followed by a trip to supermarket to fill up car and pick up a few bits before hearing test.

What a surprise. Was expecting a hearing test and then endless wait for resulting bits of kit. Audiologist starts discussing digital hearing aids, opens a cupboard and whips out 2 new digi aids, attaches them to computer an calibrates them for me. I now have 2 spanking new digi hearing aids :T:T have suddenly realised how loud my keyboard is when I type. Worn out though as my poor brain tries to deal with sensory overload :rotfl: I think this is a good reason for contemplation, so apart from putting on dishwasher I am doing nothing tonight - the kitchen is still looking reasonable, craft stuff ditto and the study is reasonable too. Even bedroom is starting to show signs of declutter as I haven't tripped over a pair of shoes for days. Don't want it too tidy or I might be in danger of becoming houseproud (fat chance).

Take care all - the motivation is there somewhere, probably hiding behind the biscuit tin in my case.

oh soupdragon those new digi aids are fab my dg used to have some before she lost all her hearing. She has cochlear implants now bless her . My 82 year old fil has some and he's been a different person since he went digi. He said it took a little while to adjust as he could suddenly hear everything a lot clearer. He lost one in the street and a dog ran off with it pmsl apparantly they are attracted by the whistling noise they make.

Hi everyone old and new. Iv just finished reading through the posts . Iv not done very much today as the dreaded p***** started at least the pmt has gone. Anyway Im drained .
Yesterday I did quiet a bit of cleaning so it was fairly clean and tidy when I got up. Oh has pulled his finger out and has been helping. Im hoping that it continues.
My little neice is being treated with antibiotics in hospital and seems to be responding , hopefully she will be back home soon.

Iv bags of charity stuff to go so we are off to our local one in the morning. Im going to work on clearing our spare room out so I can put shelves up. Id love to use the cellar but it too damp and until I find the money to tank it out it will stay that way. Iv got stuff down there that needs sorting and Im dreading finding out if they are damaged.

Take care everyone and happy cleaning.

    Morning Everyone

Helen Jelly sorry to hear about your son, I hope he is feeling better soon.

Taliahmai Abscesses are horrible for anyone, let alone little ones. I hope she feels better soon too.

UnluckyT I would buy your sister some rubber gloves. She is going to find things hard when she leaves home.

I have decided no housework as such for me because I CBA. I did tidy away a few flutters before dropping DH at the station this morning so it's tidy. Never thought I would say that. I'm going be lazy and mooch in here til about 8, then do some decorating in the bathroom. I do enjoy decorating so don't see it as a chore - weird I know. Then this afternoon sewing those crib sheets I have been meaning to do for weeks.

    Have a good day all.

Helenjelly, my son had to have a front adult tooth rebuilt when it snapped in half (he fell walking up a water slide the wrong way - need raised eyebrows and tut smiley!) it's fine, you can't see the join.

CLever how they do it. in fact, it broke again last year (walking into a window - raised eyebrows, tut smiley) and they rebuilt it again. Although at some point he will need a crown.

Don't often post on this thread, although i enjoy it. But it is a constant battle to keep the house tidy. Me Dd DS and OH are none of us the tidiest people and it wears me down sometimes. I am trying to do a "throw 3 things away (or charity shop bag) and put 3 things away that have been out for a long time" thing. It works to a certain extent, till i CBA to do it
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Good Morning Messies!!

Yesterday was a bit of a write off. Went to my family health class at childrens centre DS in creche. Teacher had a family emergency and class canx!! Went to my friend with twins for coffee and came home and DS needed a nap, joined him, as so down on sleep credits from the weekend. School run, retreived DS nursery cuddly from godmothers then supermarket, stuck for ideas for tea and favourite pizza on offer for a quid! Result! Went to bed with kids and have slept for 10 1/2 hours, up only four times with DS but feel like a new woman today!

To those with children dental problems I feel for you DS fell on Mothercare laminate floor 2 yrs ago and didn't save herself. Front 2 baby teeth wobbly and bleeding, emergency dentist said just wait and see. Only just lost them. Dentistry has come on so much they'll be ok. It's often us mums need our hands holding.

My Mum is coming round today to help me. She knows I'm not feeling my best and is so wanting to get me back on straight and narrow!! I thought she was just coming for an hour but she's coming just before lunch for rest of day!!! I could weep, especailly as we've only been fully reunited for 10 months after a 15 year fall out. I'm not sure where to start first? I think the kitchen as I only have 3 tiny worksurfaces and I can't see any of them, havng to make mugs of coffee on draining board!
DH away on a job in NE today and not back till bedtime, haven't told him of plans so hopefully he'll be surprised. DS in nursery this am and I've also put him in for aft too. DD at school. I feel today is going to be a better day. Babysteps I know but my place is now desperately out of hand and the CBA fairy is constantly with me!! Hope the day is good for you all too.

Had reply from Stardrops company and they no longer sell Startips-shame!

    Hello all. :)
For the one with the broken tooth. My DS fell off a wall and twisted one of his baby teeth. He had to go to A & E to have it straightened (Why do these things always happen when the dentist`s closed). He went for an xray at the dentist afterwards and they said all would be ok. His tooth eventually went black and fell out. It never affected his adult teeth though.
DD has a tooth that hasn`t moved - she was due to have an operation to try to bring it into place and has now decided against it. Was booked in for surgery twice and op`s cancelled due to her having a high temperature.
Hugs and positive vibes to everyone that needs them. :grouphug:
Finally managed to spend some time shreading some work papers. Still have a drawer full of filing. It`s years old so will use the back as scrap paper. Will then shread that only a more frequent basis.
Not much cleaning/tidying taking place because I was so tired after work. Didn`t sleep well either, so hope it`s not as busy workwise today.
    Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone. Im fighting the urge to go back to bed after daughter goes to school. Its part lazy and part sedation from tabs. Iv got the bags of charity stuff ready to go so Im determined to stay awake.
Teeth, dd had two out at the dentist whilst awake. Not the greatest thing for an eight year old but was needed as they were bad baby teeth. Ashamed to say caused by too many sweets and cordial. Im glad to say that her adult ones are coming through fine. Its not nice seeing your child in pain so I can sympathise with those going through it.
Now going for a shower to wake me up, lol.
