it's as though full dishwashers, full rubbish bins, full washing baskets etc etc are completely invisible to all but me.

I feel like I could be writing this :D

I really want to get our house back into shape but it feels like I am the only one who can see the mess. No-one else notices, even when they are tripping over some of the rubbish on the floor, they just carry on going about their business.

Anyway, the monster ironing pile has been tackled today so I am feeling very pleased with myself, that I have got that out of the way :)

Sorry to read about losing your dog, emm. They are such a part of the family that it is hard when they pass away :(

Hi Emm, I'm glad Littly dog is ok. Even after 4 months I sometimes still cry about Steff.
I did the front lawn yesterday but it's too hot to do the back as the sun is there until evening. Youngest son has strimmed the uneven bits so I will try to do the rest tomorrow and maybe clean eldest's car while he's at work.
I'm sure the neighbours must think I'm crazy, I was out spraying the weeds on the gravel at 6.15am on Friday but it was cool and quiet.

    Hi all -
Dibuzz, nothing daft about doing outdoor jobs in the cool early or late - most of Europe works that way!

I was up early-ish this morning, but only because the battery`s gone in the alarm clock and I`d no idea what time it was! 8.15 on LR clock by the time I came downstairs, I was sure it was a lot later.
I went shopping early (for me) and a few other errands, and was home with stuff put away by 12.30. Had a quick tidy round and cooked a big lump of pork shoulder - or rather, sat outside in the shade with Littly dog while the oven was on, and gave her a good brushing.
I`ve had to leave doors open, and suddenly realised there were lots of houseflies inside, so I`ve had a session of `fly tennis`. I`m ashamed to say it was fun, but they were free to leave if they didn`t like it!!
Too hot for sewing, my fingers feel clumsy when I`m hot.

I've done well today, cleaned son's car at 7.45am then mowed the back lawn.
Picked my prescription up and was a bit surprised when I went to get it filled and I had to sign something because Tramadol is now a controlled drug.
I've got loads of washing dry and sorted some junk upstairs.

    Good morning,

We're back from our weekend away, so this morning I've done the laundry. the house was in pretty good repair when we got home, my mum hadn't made a mess or anything. She actually left a note apologising for not cleaning the shower screen, there was nothing to clean from what I could see. It was kind of nice that someone thought they needed to clear up their mess rather than not being able to see their mess due to mine!

Hope you all have a good week.

Hi, all. I cleaned the inside of the windows yesterday and did an hour's ironing. Left the rest for today.

I like ironing to Steve Wrights Golden Oldies! Good, rocking music makes me go faster. Unfortunately the new iron is so light, I have to press hard.

    Hi all,
You`ve all been busier than me, for I have been a SLOB!!
Apart from a quick wipe round kitchen after doing last night`s pots, I`ve done nothing constructive.
OH has suggested a trip to the pub this evening and taking Littly dog with us as it`s a dog-friendly local and nice enough to sit outside but not quite as hot and sunny today. This will be a first, so we`ll see how she gets on.... should be quiet, early evening and mid-week.
I`ve also looked at DGD`s room and noted it`s getting messy again in there, but haven`t tackled it today. Rest of the house isn`t too bad, as long as the spare room of Doom door is firmly closed.
Tomorrow I will try to get something done...

I fully intended to finish the ironing this afternoon, but I hoovered through instead. Well, not our bedroom as hairdresser is coming tomorrow.

Tai chi for two hours this morning, do I have burnt off about 20 calories!

I've had a bit of a lazy day today, sorted some books out and did some washing, got it all dry before the rain started.
Ex hubby has parcels delivered here as he works nights and had one delivered today which wouldn't fit in his car so I took it round in son's car and ended up staying all afternoon. I think we talk more now than when we were married.
