I can understand why you felt like that Dibuzz. Hugs. Dont be too hard on yourself, everyone is allowed a good old cry now and again.
So job number 1 done for today, job number 2 likewise and in a minute I am heading off to voluntary work for a couple of hours. Need to decide what I am doing about this voluntary job, cant make my mind up.
Cold and yukky out.
Right, got to dash!0 -
I've been to see the doc this morning and he said the same Emm, I had the maximum sessions so just have to wait to see someone else now. My doc is great though, just sat there holding my hand for 10 minutes. Still feeling the same today and haven't done much, I knew it would be harder on my own but didn't think it would be this bad, I feel sort of abandoned in the middle of nowhere.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

Hi all.
Dibuzz, I`m so glad to hear your GP is so good. You aren`t abandoned pet, just sort of `becalmed` , think of it like waiting for the next high tide to get you afloat again....
YL, are there 2 p/t jobs AND the voluntary thing, or is that one of them? Sorry, that`s surely too much.
Gayle - I`ve always thought that about tumble driers, wouldn`t have one as a gift!
Raksha, thinking of you today too. x
Chez-Emm - another early shift under my belt. I`ve tried to stay in `work` mode when I get home, and today I`ve done it again.
Had to pop in to Morrison`s on way home, light bulb had gone in the kitchen and I forgot to get one yesterday. (Had a few others but not bayonet fitting - typical). I fell off the `use up freezer` wagon again Big Style.... drat those YS traps!!
Got home, and got cracking:-
Freezer tetris again
YS Chicken in oven, plus cooking YS pack of wings beside it.
Henry`d all downstairs, mopped LR & kitchen.
Rugs shaken outside and turned clean side up.
1 WM load done, ready to hang outside tomorrow.
Urg. Running out of steam now....0 -
Hi folks - forum seems very quiet this weekend, hopefully lots of people making the most of a bit of decent weather. (While it lasts!)
As DS is still away at his GF`s it`s stayed pretty tidy here, even though DGD has been here (just gone home) so I`ve been able to do a bit outside. I`ve cut a patch of very overgrown privet near the back door, with lobbers and arms upstretched - must be quite good exercise too - and it`s now so much lighter out there. After clearing up the cuttings I`ve cleaned the drain and scrubbed the concrete area down with Zoflora and
To make things even lighter, I`ve cleaned the small high window in LR, inside and out, and I`m chuffed with my efforts. (It used to be a pantry window years ago, and it tends to get forgotten.)
I`ve also finally got around to cleaning my front door. It was Very Bad. I honestly can`t remember how long it`s been since it was done last, but it`s needed doing for a long time, and it looks a lot better now.
It`s rubber chicken again tonight, so I`m going to just sit outside and do Nothing for a while....0 -
I'm really struggling at the moment but hopefully normal service will be resumed soon.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

I`ve done another morning on the ward. It was mad busy today, so I ended up staying an hour longer to help out - it`s still a shorter time than my normal hours, but they are my mates after all. I`m just glad I had an early night last night and a good kip!
I`m making a chicken curry for this evening, and have a WM load in, but weather doesn`t look promising for drying stuff outside. I am trying to convince myself that I should Henry my bedroom, before I start noticing that I`m feeling tired.....0 -
Hi everyone. I started reading this thread from the beginning weeks ago, and have found it so inspiring and motivational. Every time I read a little I then feel the need to get up and do some decluttering and cleaning, even if it is just one thing. We are downsizing a house stuffed to the gills with stuff to a smaller house later in the year and I was despairing of ever getting there. Now we are getting there a bit at a time. I'm only up to page 88, so I figured I should start reading the newer entries so I can join in!0

Hi Skeeter, and Welcome.
If you have a deadline (such as your house-move) it can help with motivation. So can reading other folks` posts with a bit of encouragement/inspiration, or declaring your intentions here then giving yourself a kick to carry them out, or at least get something done!
I have 30 years` worth of accumulated Stuff in this house, as well as my Ds`s stuff since he came back to live here. I don`t have a `deadline` for de-cluttering and progress is slow, but I only started to realise the need to do something about it when I joined this forum.
Chez-Emm...
DS came home last night after a week at his GF`s. It shows.0
