    Good Morning!

I had a phone call at 8.45 to say they`ll be delivering WM within the hour...bit earlier than expected, so have had to shift some stuff out of kitchen (dog bowls etc.) and wedge gate between front path and back door open - which means keeping both dogs in LR till they`ve been (dear old Dafty would just lurk in most inconvenient spot she could find, and Littly will just yap till she`s hoarse!)
I`ve also found the cat, fed her, and put her outside.
I have yet to attempt to wake DS....

WM has arrived (Beko, looks like new, have googled manual) but DS is still unwakeable.
Old WM is still in situ, `new` one is in middle of kitchen (which leaves very little room to get around it as kitchen is small) and I`m struggling to stay calm till DS gets up!

YL, committee meetings & paperwork...yuck, bad enough if you`re paid for it!

Dibuzz, I`m sure your pwp will be really proud of you, you`ve done so well and if the weekly plans help do try and keep them up - you can always `report` back to us on here.

Pol, I only went to the Tweed mill once, ages ago. I always preferred Abakhan! They used to have a loom there and make shaggy floor rugs out of waste cotton. I bought one , sort of hearthrug size, yellow/cream/mustard and it`s still going strong! It must be nearly 20 years old now, and when it was new I thought it probably wouldn`t last long but it was cheap & cheerful! Any spare cash for textiles went on Abakhan ever since!

    Morning everyone

Glad the washing machine is a good one Emm, I have a Beko too. Good luck for work today.

Very tired this morning (hope I am not getting the bug DS has had). I am at work until 1pm then have to deliver something to my sister-in-law, walk the dog, take him to my parents, collect DS and his friend from school, feed them, take them to cricket, hang about for a couple of hours then bring them home with another friend as they are all sleeping over. No time in amongst all this to work so I will probably have to do that tomorrow.

Not done any food shopping so that will have to be done tomorrow too.

Keep having moments where my heart starts beating really fast and I have a horrible feeling this might be stress/anxiety (been there before). I am really glad Monday is a bank holiday and I should probably have booked a couple of days off work next week but too late now.

Have a good day everyone x

Thanks for the good wishes for today - it went really well, but I`m surprised how tired I felt after just the 3 hours! Some aspects feel a bit strange, but some tasks were like riding a bicycle, so glad to be back there and doing my thing - I tried to muck in with everything but they wouldn`t let me do the heavy stuff! I`ve got the weekend off (!) and 3 more short shifts for next week, then taking it from there...
Got a pork curry simmering now to celebrate. And a glass of wine (cheap box rose`)

`New` WM was successfully connected up, and 1 load (small towels) washed last night to try it out - seems pretty good so far.

Weather doesn`t look too promising for the weekend, but apart from a bit of shopping tomorrow I intend to just enjoy my `weekend off`, potter around the hose and try to store up some energy for next week!

Hope everyone is having a decent day. x
(YL, try to take things easy whenever you can, think of Sunday & Monday as your weekend. x)

    Glad it went well Emm.
I've done some more painting today, I thought I posted yesterday but apparently not.
I had been trying all yesterday to move the wardrobe and just couldn't budge it, it was 7 feet high and 6 feet wide so quite heavy. When the boys were home I asked them to help and we got it to the middle of the room then it just fell apart, eldest was stood there holding an end panel and the shelves were slowly drooping so we gave up and took it apart.
They were both really helpful and took it all out into the garden without a single moan and youngest had worked for 13 hours doing heavy stuff.
I need a good sort out now and get rid of a load of stuff that I'd forgotten I had.

    Morning everyone

I need to do some sorting out here too Dibuzz, especially in the built in cupboard in our bedroom. I keep putting it off and may just do a shelf at a time rather than trying to blitz the whole thing at once.

Need to sort some clothes too.

However, since I was kept awake until 3am by DS2 and his friends having a "sleepover" I dont feel like doing anything. Not a happy bunny. DS has some really nice mates but they were a complete pain in the backside last night and we wont be doing a sleepover again for a while. Not sure how other parents handle this but they would just not go to sleep. They are supposed to be going to the sports field for the day when they get up but its going to pour down and I dont know if I can cope with having them here all day. Rant over.

Off to make some coffee and take it back to bed for a bit I think.

    Glad it went well, Emm.

YL, one shelf at a time is a good idea. I often do my pantry like that. Trouble is I never get round to the top shelf, which I can't reach, well can't reach to the back of it. Same with fitted cupboard in the front bedroom, where I keep bedding.

    Joys of being a shortarse!

I don't know why they are called sleepovers, they never sleep!
My youngest had one last bank holiday but they slept in the tent in the garden and apart from when he heated up a couple of pizzas (my room is above the kitchen) I didnt hear a thing.

I've just done the first coat on the skirting board on the wall where my bed will be and it's a water based gloss so I can do the next coat this afternoon then hopefully get my bed in place later and see what I can shove underneath :o

Turn it into a challenge and start selling the clutter you will no longer use on ebay then it gives you an added incentive!
