You're all working hard today, folks. I've been our to buy little birth fad presents for two friends then done a pile of ironing, changed the bed.

So crosswords and feet up for a bit. Probably watch Pobol y Cwm, just to keep up my Welsh, you understand.

I've had a busy day, started off with emptying the wardrobe and removing the doors, I did want to get it into youngest's room today but he'd made plans and although I could do it myself I'm not prepared to move all his mess to do it.
I've sorted out a lot of stuff so hopefully tomorrow I can kick him into gear and make room for it.
I've been food shopping with eldest then spent half an hour helping youngest and his mates put the tent up so they can sleep in the back garden tonight. Four huge 18 year old lads and it takes a 51 year old woman to sort it :rotfl:
I've some more sorting out to do so I can get into bed I've hardly stopped today so I'm hoping I will sleep tonight.

Like many of us my mother does not understand mental illness, on more than one occasion she has told me the equivalent of get a grip, she really has no comprehension of how it is and something that you wouldn't normally even think about can become insurmountable.

Today I managed to declutter the equivalent to 4 black sacks. I noticed that the little bits of chipping away I'm doing is paying off and you can now see about a quarter of the floor in the room of doom.

Not expecting to get much done on Monday as we are visiting friends for the day.

Hi Ladies, Just thought I would update you all as I've not been around for a few days. I had two job interviews last week one for a claims assistant for industrial injuries (just on the phones basically) and the other for a customer assistant for boots in the airport.

I've been offered both jobs slight problem is I don't know which one to go for. The claims assistant is full time with about £240 a week the airport one is part time about £150 a week so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment as to which one to accept I didn't imagine to be offered both jobs, I've been looking for a job for so long and being knocked back and now two come at once!

Maybe writing a list of the pros and cons of each job would help you decide.

I don't think I will get much done today, first day of the new meds and I fell really out of it, I'm hoping it will get better when I'm off the old ones completely.
I've got a lot done over the last few days though and am on top of the washing so think a lazy day is in order, climbing ladders to paint is definitely out.

Pollypenny - that`s a great excuse for Pobol y Cwm, now I need one for listening to the Archers!!

Dibuzz, in my experience the more blokes involved in erecting a tent the greater the need for a woman to supervise!
You certainly are allowed a lazy day, try to relax and enjoy it.

BB, well done there- 4 black sacks` worth is a lot. I really wish I could do that in my spare room of doom, but a lot of the stuff in there is DS`s. He did start sorting some of it a while back but then just left it, and he wouldn`t chuck any old computers/bits of same anyway.

Stephb, congratulations on being offered both jobs. It`s nice to be spoilt for choice, but good luck with whichever one you decide on.

Today - Not a lot done (yet).
I`ve done pots/tops in kitchen, and nipped to Asda as we`re nearly out of toilet roll and prefer theirs (shades), plus bread, milk - and...a new rake!
Happy to find I wasn`t as stiff or achy as I expected after yesterdays efforts in the garden, so I might go out and do a bit more. Next week I have appts etc on 3 consecutive days, plus I`ve agreed to have DGD`s friend sleepover here again next weekend too.
The week after I`ve got Occy health appt then we`ll be going into sorting out work rota/phased return by the end of that week. I also have new uniforms to deal with (trousers only, tops still awaited!) as they need washing at least 3 times before wearing, loads of us had allergic reactions when they were first brought in. I don`t want to be itching on my first week back on the ward!

Hope everyone`s having a decent bank hol. x

Yesterday sort of passed in a daze but I'm feeling a bit more with it today. I slept from 9pm till 6am only waking up once which is amazing for me.
I've just dropped eldest's car off at the garage for a service and walked back, youngest was supposed to be picking me up but after 3 attempts to wake him I decided to just walk as it's nice out. It's only 1.7 miles but the last few hundred yards are uphill so I'm having a drink and a sit down before I try to get lazy bones up again.

It's these damn hills which finish us, eh?

Hope you felt good for the walk, Dibuzz.

No big cleaning jobs today, as I am keeping up with things. Have done a major task, opening a 123 Santander account for the cash back and decent interest.

    Evening all....

Congrats Dibuzz on getting some decent kip! Dunno about hills doing us in, but 2 days cutting at stuff in the garden with shears is uphill work!

OH`s caution with diet is working well, we`re gradually getting more adventurous again - home cooked ham in apple juice last night with broad beans done in parsley sauce... ham & eggs & steamed baby potatoes tonight - he wants to see what happens with curry, so I`m mixing my own spices and doing a mince & sweet potato curry for tomorrow. (He`d NEVER be able to give up curry, hope it goes down ok.)

I have also done a load of washing, inc the 3 new uniform trousers...they`ve been washed & dried 3 times now - not sure if drying them between washes is needed but the weather was nice so I dried `em anyway. Hope I get the tops soon so I can wash the itchyness out of them in good time.

I managed to get youngest up in time to pick the car up (believe it or not that is an achievement) so didnt have to walk again.
I've not done much else really, still don't feel safe on the ladder so no painting done yet. It wouldn't be so bad if the room was empty but I have to paint a bit then move something and I really couldn't be bothered with that so it's been another lazy day.
