Good morning.
I finally got round to doing a bit. this morning I've hoovered upstairs and cleaned the bath and shower. Everything is tidied away other than my craft stuff. Tomorrow and Friday I just have to do little bits and pieces like dusting, cleaning the kitchen sink and making sure all the laundry is away - a job I really dislike.
Hope everyone is OK.0 -
I don`t know where the day has gone....
Hospital appt (post-radiotherapy check-up) was 11.45, so just did a bit of tidying up/sorted kitchen a bit, before I went out.
Got there early as parking is unpredictable - swanning round car park awhile then got a space, but even then I was only 10 minutes early reporting in at the desk.
Was told there was a delay - this is quite unusual in that department, but stuff happens, so I sat there...and sat there...
finally got seen at 1.30pm. (All`s well, nothing new, see you in 12 months, pretty much as expected, so I was quite happy to go on my own)
I am not complaining - except that they`d had a clearout of any decent magazines and left only a few `Hello` type things.
Nothing more tiring and debilitating than reading about the folks who are famous for just being famous, and as there wasn`t anyone there who was even remotely conversational I confess I did actually READ a whole one!
After this mind-numbing interval I saw the consultant, then went to my ward, saw a few mates and was shown the new stock medicines `cupboard` - in my absence they`ve replaced the old steel cupboard with an electronically operated large chest of drawers that `speaks` when staff attempt to operate it. (I won`t tell you what my colleague was saying to it in reply!!!) Ha, that`ll be fun to get my head around when I`m back at work!
And, my uniform tops haven`t come yet, they`re `still in the pipeline`. I have another appt Friday morning so will pop in again after that.
On my way home I did a bit of shopping in Morrisons, came home and put it away, had a coffee, and that`s my day.
So glad I made tonight`s curry yesterday, I wouldn`t have felt light starting anything now!
I do hope other Messies have had a more productive day than I have, whatever you were about! x0 -
Quite lazy today, apart from a walk down town. Then we went to buy plant food and none meal etc.
I fully intended to trim a tree this afternoon, but we've had very heavy showers followed by lovely sun.
Good thing you don't have to go back for 12 months, Emm. :TMember #14 of SKI-ers club

We`ve got the rain today.
Also got up to find a wet woolly rug - dear old Dafty dog has `phases`, hasn`t piddled indoors for a good few days till now and so the rug was getting a bit grubby and due for a wash anyway - just can`t put it outside to dry, so it`s draped on the fireguard. Floor washed, clean rug down and it`s anyone`s guess how long for....
We`re visiting OH`s aunt this afternoon, so unless it`s another rug change when we get home that` it for housey stuff today. OH seems to have no ill effects from last night`s curry, so he`s in a good mood, and it`s slow-cooked duck legs tonight, that`ll put him in an even better mood!
Have a decent day all. x0 -
Afternoon, messies!
I've been getting a bit smug, as a reformed character. But, anyone coming in would find on the chest if drawers in the hall, the following:
Pile of Saga brochures, unopened
Small pile of U3A newsletters which forgot to give to my book group
Our voting cards for EU election
My library card
Saga letter about their share offer
Next week's Guardian vouchers
And to top it all, a box of chocolates for a prize which I was unable to deliver!
I've just washed the kitchen floor, so when that's dry, I'll sort them.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I've painted the ceiling in my bedroom apart from where I can't reach.
I'm a bit stuck till youngest makes room for the wardrobe in his room, I hate waiting for other people to do things when it's stopping me getting on.
I've just come down for a drink and a cool down, it's amazing how much warmer it is up a ladder.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Oh, yes, so annoying when you are raring to go and something holds you up.
Really cold here today as well! We've had such a downpour, it's made a little leak in the conservatory.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Hi Messies!
Friday again, the weeks are flying...bet it won`t seem that way when I`ve been back at work for a couple of months though! Still, I`m looking forward to the `normality` of having days off to look forward to rather than just being off every day, with no contrast.
Dibuzz, well done on the ceiling, hope you can get that wardrobe out of the way this weekend, it really is a pain waiting for others to get something done.
Pol - every flat surface in my home `attracts` things, I clear some from time to time and then have to aggressively defend the clear space till others get used to the idea (eg.LR windowsills, mantlepiece, dresser - but the fireguard & computer corner are still epic fails in that respect!) I don`t have any furniture in the hall, except a chest freezer, and Henry lives beside it. Chest freezer often has a small pile of stuff dumped on top, and even Henry`s head gets stuff dumped sometimes - DGD`s boots were the last thing I shifted from him!
This morning`s appt. was fine, had to have arm circumferences measured/compared ( lymphoedema clinic) but they were happy so don`t need to go back again. I know what to look out for but it`s nice not to feel they have to monitor things, and it`s a bit less faff. Also went to my ward, and found my uniform tops have arrived AT LAST!!
No wet rugs occurred overnight or when I was out this morning, (Dafty dog is probably saving it up now for when DGD`s friend is here!) recently washed rug is dry.
I`ve had a quick tidy, whilst boiling/rinsing bacon bones for me & OH tonight. (with frozen roasties & mushy peas - usually have chips or wedges but think this will be easier to digest ..)
Then I am picking DGD up from school, later picking her friend up from her home, and they`ll want either salad or pasta. Tomorrow DGD`s mama & I are going to Abakhan again. (OH asked `what for?`. Daft question, how do I know till I see what`s there!)
Have a nice weekend all. x0 -
I've had a really lazy day today, got youngest up for work at 5.30 (his old boss at the landscape gardening firm has offered him some work, he was tempted to say no after the way he was treated but money is money) dropped eldest off at 7 then came back and put the tv on. Next thing I knew it was 1pm  and I still feel dopey now, not sure if it's the new meds or not but don't feel like doing much so I'm counting it as a day off14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

Ooh, Emm, there's a sewing sale in Abakhan this weekend!
I might go for a remnant to make bathroom curtains. I cannot stand those damn Venetian blinds. Or I can't stand cleaning them!
Dibuzz, glad your son. Has some work. And just enjoy a day off!Member #14 of SKI-ers club
