Glad you managed a lie in Emm, you deserve it after all your early starts.
I've done some washing and risked putting it on the line with extra pegs, luckily it stayed on and after a quick go in the dryer it's ready to put away.
Woke up with earache and a banging headache this morning so haven't felt like doing much else.
We've got a lot to do this week but son was happy to have a slob about day so I didn't argue, we need to get started tomorrow though.

    Hi all

Just checking in, havent seen much of you all this last week - been a bit hectic here.

Have spent a lovely day with my 5 yo niece so I am now exhausted! The list of things to do grows ever longer but there was no way I was missing out on a chance to look after my brothers little girl, she is such a treasure.

Has that shiny new mop bucket had a test run yet Emm? My kitchen floor could do with a bit of a going over.

Oh and happy belated birthday to your son FW. We are at hospital for an MRI scan next week for mine. Then we will find out what is going on with him.

Sounds like the kids are squabbling so I had better go and see whats going on. So much for a peaceful Saturday night.
  • Good Morning!

Dibuzz, I hope you`re feeling better today, earache is such a miserable pain.

Tattycath, you`ve done well with your list. Maybe it`s easier if someone else does you a list?

YL, sounds like a fun day with your niece, well worth leaving a to-do list for a day. I`m glad you have a date for your son`s MRI, hope you`ll get the results quickly too.

Well, it`s a lovely sunny morning here but the forecast is cloudy later. I`ve had a blitz in the kitchen & tidied LR, but the floors need doing, so the plan is-
    Shake rugs outside.
    Henry LR & kitchen.
Put dogs outside and mop both floors. (I usually do mopping 1 room at a time, but as it`s warm outside I might get both floors done & dry without footprints today)

Everyone else here is still asleep, so I`m just having another coffee before I get started....

Thanks Emm, feeling a lot better today. Every time I lay on my ear it woke me up so didn't get much sleep but I'm used to that :(

The sky is grey here so no washing going out unless it brightens up.
Daughter put the water on for a bath last night then decided she was too tired so I had it instead and cleaned the bath and sink afterwards, only the loo and floor to do today now.

  • Morning all!!

Dibuzz - hope are feeling better.

    Emm - Enjoy the coffee's!!

YL - Good luck with MRI, my son had one about a year ago, lots of strictures in his lower intestines but they are reluctant to start surgery just yet!

I've done the ironing mountain this morning, that will be me feeling all smug tomorrow morning when everyone has clothes in their drawers when they get up! ha!

My parents are coming for supper tonight so i put some beef in the SC with carrots, onion & a bottle of ale when i got up this morning. It was very strange opening a bottle of ale before 7am! I just need to sort the veg and a pudding for later.

Grey and windy here today, we seem to be missing the sunshine?? I've got a load of washing out, might put some tea towels on the line too.

    Have a nice Sunday everybody!!

    Jxx

  • FW, that beef & ale sounds great, I can almost smell it!! I`ve cooked a load of chicken thighs, so we`ll have some this evening with veg and I`ll put the rest in a green Thai effort tomorrow, just throw a few defrosted prawns in OH`s to keep him happy! Well done on the ironing mountain (though I`m not an ironer myself).
    I have done LOADS!
All rugs/mats/dog beds shaken outside, washed, and out on the line now.
Henry`d hall, LR, kitchen, downstairs loo and then mopped - new mop bucket is lovely, the wringing out bit doesn`t collapse like the old one!
DGD entertained the dogs outside while we waited for floors to dry, it didn`t take long as I could leave doors open because she stopped the animals sneaking back in!
Clean rugs etc., brought in from caravan of Doom - which looks a bit tidier now (till I put the drying stuff in there later).
I`ve also swilled and yard-brushed the concrete area outside back door, it had a whiff of dog-piddle and we`ve had no rain. Zoflora smells a lot nicer!
I was thinking about Henrying the car too, but managed to talk myself out of it.
    Next -
DGD has just come out of the shower so I`ll dive in next give my hair time to dry before bedtime (I hate using hairdryer). I`ll give upstairs loo a squirt first, then clean it after and do sink as well. That will be enough for today, I think!

Have a nice evening all. x
  • Morning all!

I'm contemplating hanging the washing out, the sun is shining but there's a few grey clouds lurking!

Had to nip to the agricultural merchants this morning, dad needed a few things, i went to the coop too, got some orange stickered meatballs and some chicken thighs for tonights supper.

Just having coffee the off outside to do farm jobs!

    Have a good day!

    Jx

  • Well, the rain has reached us today too!
Seems to have slowed everything down, somehow...
Yesterday we got there & back & treatment done quickly, then I did a bit of shopping (Easter eggs bought for grandchildren & next door`s 2 youngest, BOGOF at Co-op plus I had a £2 off voucher to use! And I bought a `reduced to clear` little kitchen scales for 98p in Morrisons)
I also did a bit of freezer Tetris, had a reality flash and finally chucked out some long-forgotten anonymous grey-looking stuff in freezer bags that had been there a long time and that I admitted I would never want to use!

Today, my treatment took ages, they couldn`t quite get me lined up right, and it all has to be so precise as they don`t want to be zapping the wrong bits! It`s funny how trying to keep still can be so tiring - remind me not to consider doing life modelling!
Anyway, this is Day 10, another 5 to go so I`m 2/3 of the way through. I`m no pinker than I was before the weekend, which is also very encouraging.
I`ve tidied up a bit (just a bit, but enough) and I`ve mixed some pork mince for burgers tonight. Otherwise it`s a fairly CBA afternoon here....
Hope you`re all having a decent day. x
