You'll probably wake up early now you don't have to.

It's raining here too, I should have done the lawn yesterday but didn't get round to it.
I had an email this morning about the counselling the doc put me forward for about 6 months ago. Apparently I'm 13th on the list and should get an appointment in a few weeks so now I'm getting nervous about it again :o

  • Morning all from down on the farm!

    Sunny today!! :j

Emm - Glad your radio has come to an end, you can relax now after the daily grind of hospital trips! Big hugs!

So, i had washing on the line before 7am, dropped youngest off at school dressed as an evacuee (her not me!) as she's going on a ww2 residential until friday. I put some farm overalls/boilersuits in the washer earlier, have to use a long wash as they are sooo filthy, will hang them out as soon as they are done. I have some baking to do for a customer so i'll have to crack on with that soon. I'm quite tired today but i'm determined to keep going!!

    Have a good day all!!

    J
    xx
    It's a farmers life for me......:j
  • Good Morning!

Dibuzz - you were dead right, I was wide awake at 7 this morning, even after deliberately staying up late last night!
Re the counselling, while you wait for your appointment try to keep in mind that this is to serve you, not the other way round. The counseller had to start somewhere too - imagine how nervous he/she must have felt with their first few clients!

    Well, so far today-
I`m enjoying my THIRD mug of coffee!
Washed last night`s pots & cleaned kitchen.
Second WM load is on, mostly my stuff again but this should slow right down now as I won`t feel so whiffy!!!!
(I applied roll-on very carefully this morning and it felt So Good!)
I fell off the Freezer Mission wagon yesterday and bought 2 large chickens (Co-op, 2 for £10) and I only went there for some milk. I did use freezer stuff last night though, Aldi `bambi` steaks and wedges (celebration meal!)
Each chicken will do 2 meals without much prep or planning
though, a roast tonight and curried leftovers tomorrow - that should free my head to tackle DGD`s window area. Well that`s the best excuse/motivational idea I have come up with.

I`ll just have another coffee first....

You did better than me, I went to Costco to get some wiper blades and spent just short of £100 :o

I've no plans for today, dont feel up to doing much and haven't even done any washing yet.

  • FW, washing out before 7! My neighbours would faint!!!
Hope your daughter enjoys her ww2 trip, sounds like it could be fun.
Dibuzz, we can`t all be domestic goddesses every day AND Messies! I thought I`d better get something done before I ran out of steam, and my washing was sort of celebrating the end of a phase as well. I`ve got it all dry outside, just brought it in as it was starting to spit a bit of rain.

I`ve also done the outside of DGD`s window. Stardrops window cleaner spray and a squeegee but I had to give it 2 goes it was so manky. Now it`s scarily bright in the room, and I`ve not done the insides yet! I`m picking her up from school in a bit so I doubt I`ll get round to it today now. ...

I hate answering the phone and often leave it but answered it earlier and it was the counselling service offering an appointment for next week so now I'm terrified of going, and panicking about parking as it's a tiny car park.
I feel sick and shaky just thinking about it :( I was already feeling nervous but it was a bit of a shock getting an appointment so soon

I still haven't done anything, everywhere needs a good hoovering but I think its going to have to wait till tomorrow.

  • Dibuzz, a few weeks ago I was panicking about parking at the cancer treatment centre, I was more bothered about that than the actual treatment so I know how that feels. As it turned out there was only really one day out of all 16 that my fretting was justified. Maybe it`s a good thing your appt. came through so fast though, at least you`ll have less time to worry before you start.
As for your hoovering, it`ll keep till tomorrow, as will my windowcleaning! In fact, OH wants us to go shopping tomorrow, so the window may be put on hold a bit longer. The squirrels have finally managed to wreck both peanut feeders so OH wants to replace them, that means going into town so we might have a browse around while we`re out....
Chicken is in the oven, veg sitting in steamer ready to go on, so I just want to slap some more e45 on and relax a bit now.

I'm sure a wander round town will do you more good than cleaning windows :)
Eldest came home last night and asked if I wanted to hoover his room while he was in the mood. It takes 2 to do it, one to use the hoover and one to lift wires and stuff out of the way round his computer so we did that before tea.
The only problem is I can't carry the hoover down the stairs and he forgot so it will have to wait again ;)

  • Dibuzz, at least that`s one room hoovered! I know what you mean about the wires - the corner of our living room where my computer is is a huge maze of wires, (DS set things up for me and I`m scared of accidentally disconnecting something - best I can do there is waggle an acrylic feather duster round and hope it knocks some of the dust-buffaloes into reach of the hoover pipe. It`s laminate under there thankfully no carpet or I wouldn`t stand a chance.)

Today I finally managed a lie-in!!! Slept till 10, but now I wish I hadn`t because after a pootle round town with OH I am wondering where the day has gone, and I feel more tired than if I was up early. I just had a text from DGD`s mum she`s got the car today so I`m not doing school run, so nothing stopping me carrying on with the window-cleaning. Except I`m still gazing out of LR window....

OH has put out the new peanut feeders and the squirrels have had a go at them already, there`s lots of sparrows, greenfinch and redpoll out there, and there`s a pair of courting woodpigeon treating the decking like a dance floor! One seems keen, the other a bit reluctant, and the cooing and grumbling sounds they`re making is quite funny.
I`m going to have a cuppa then drag myself off to clean that window now....

I am tucked into my riser - recliner and can hear DS doing what sounds like tidying activities on his day off - he has a 3 day 'weekend' midweek and works Sat -Tue.
This makes me happy, in general, though sometimes he does relocate stuff in odd locations.
