Ok, so I put the towels away and changed my bedding. Bedding just about to go in dryer.
    Tidied 1 cupboard and got 5 catalogues/directories-recycled.
1 carrier bag full of paperwork to shred-done.
Thrown away something I was going to up cycle-it's been in the cupboard for 2 years so realistically I would have done it by now if I was that keen!
Packed a couple of things sold on the bay and they've gone in the post. :)

Just done my farm jobs in record time, got to wake the kids up now. Won't get much tidying done today, i'm going to a furniture sale with my mum for the day. I'll try not to buy anymore junk..........

    Have a good day!

  • Good Morning Messies!

FW, enjoy your day at the sale.

Tattycath, well done on the paperwork and cupboarding. Every little thing you sling is a bit more space (it`s trying not to let it get cluttered again that`s the hard bit here!)

    Chez Emm....
I`ve only done kitchen so far today, and found a WM load (more of DS`s stuff!!) that I`ve put on as it`s a decent drying day, so may as well get it done out of the way.
I did a lamb hotpot with my leftovers last night that went down very well, and I`m going to cook a large chicken today that will do us all for tonight then we`ll have curried remains for tomorrow.
Haven`t planned beyond that as I don`t know how long we`ll be - travelling time + treatment time, or whether I`ll feel like doing much afterwards, so I`m just going to concentrate on the `very basics`. Anything else will be a bonus.

Have a nice Tuesday all. x

I'll see how much energy I have tonight-if not I'll be up and at it in the morning! :)
I have the same problem emm-I always find something to put in the space I create. :o

The pen and book are so nice I hope they'll become the one thing I use rather than scraps of paper everywhere that I can never find when I want them! It's always so nice to have a new pen isn't it :)

My hand feels better today so I might try to remove a bit more paint from the cabinet. I have to wait in for 3 parcels so I'm going to do bits and bobs, should help keep things ticking over.

Have a good day if you can.

I hope things go well for you today Emm.

I've changed eldest's bed, well I've stripped it and washed it all and it's out on the line so will give it a blast in the dryer and put it all back on later, I prefer to do that than put the spare set on as it always smells stale to me after being in the cupboard.
Hoovered and dusted the living room yesterday apart from my corner which is full of wool, patterns and needles. I've not done any knitting or crocheting since steff went but its still all in a mess so might sort that out this afternoon.
I do find it easier to get things done when the sun is out but it's clouding over now so I'd better get moving before the urge goes.

Mess is not the word...came home from an early shift (5.45 to 9.30) to find that no one has done a thing...beds unmade, last nights dishes in the sink, glasses and cups everywhere, washing piled up and nothing out for dinner tonight. So between now and 2 (when I start work again) I have loads to do, all on little sleep as dh wanted to talk last night and I spent the rest of the night thinking about what he said.
Really need some energy to get me started today.
Sorry for the rant but had to let it out before I go nuts..
    Bright Blessings xx

Did you come to my house by mistake by any chance? :rotfl:
I can so relate to your post regarding mess.

I have done a load of washing this morning before going out and I've just put it in the dryer.
DD1 and Mr tc kindly made me a to do list last night. :o
They reckon it shouldn't take longer than 3 hours so we will see.

  • Morning all!!

Emm - big hugs, hope it went ok!

What a day i had yesterday, the main issue being my 17 yr old son  he's just a total pain at the moment. He has Crohn's disease, he is in total denial about it and says he's 'fine' when i know he's not too well, i'm sure this contributes to his attitude but he really knows how to push my buttons at the moment!!! Grrr!!!

Anyway, today i have hoovered sons bedroom after he managed to tidy it last night! I've made scones, a lemon drizzle and some ginger snaps. Put a load of washing on and some towels in the drier. I'm now going to sort the supper as its swimming tonight and we get home late.

    Have a good day all!!

    Hi Messies!

Lonewhitewolf - Welcome, no wonder you needed a rant!

Dibuzz, I like using the same bedclothes as soon as they`ve been washed, especially if they were dried outside.

Well some folks are getting lots done this week...I`m not getting much done but at least I`m keeping more or less on top of things so far.
The radiotherapy treatment itself is fine up to now (might get a skin reaction further on as I did last time, but at least I know what to expect!) but it`s the early mornings that are hard to get used to - they say the treatment can cause fatigue, but how will I tell if it`s that or just getting up early!? It`s a 38 mile drive each way, but the roads have been fine and no hassle so far, I can get an hour`s worth of something done at home when we get back, then I seem to run out of steam.Like now - I`ve cleaned up in kitchen, had a quick tidy in LR, and done one WM load...now trying to prod myself to go and hang stuff outside....
I`m already looking forward to the weekend, and a lie-in, I don`t get on with afternoon naps - but the plus side is I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow last night!

Drags self off to hang washing out...
