Hi Yorkshirelass, hope you don't mind me butting in, but I am an infliximab patient too. Don't worry too much about the possible side effects…take a look at the leaflet with paracetamol or something you take without a second thought…we wouldn't take them if we worried about the side effects. There is a lovely support group on fb called Remicade where you can chat through your concerns…there are some patients on there as well as some parents of patients.
    :)

Thank you, will have a look at that. I am just not even sure how well the infliximab is working for him at the moment but we will know more when he has had the scan.

Need to go and get ready for work. Sounds like it is raining out there - again!
  • Hi All, just a quickie as our electricity is being cut off for the morning while they work on something - the whole street going off according to the letter. No wet rug in LR this am, so at least won`t have a washing backlog when it goes on again. I`m thinking of stuff to do that doesn`t need power, and found my wind-up radio to keep me going.
    laters...
  • dibuzz, glad your dog is happy at the minute.

DH got up at 4am as he had to be in Manchester for 6 to get a train so I was awake too. I started to organise a few things in my wardrobe, then I fell asleep on a pile of clothes. So I need to finish sorting that today. There's also the usual laundry and stuff.

Bread has been making me feel a bit yuck recently so I've not been eating it and I really want some today! Hope everyone's ok.

    No motivation today. :(
House is still a mess. Haven't even done a to do list.
I just feel tired and I really CBA to be honest. I think I've got a bit of a cold and I'm all bunged up. Might go back to bed and write off today...

Same here but am doing some baking as well.

  • Hello again...
Waited for power to go off this morning, but around 10 am they knocked on our doors to say they weren`t going ahead so it`ll be in a few weeks instead. So much for that one!
Apart from cutting my toenails I`ve done no de-cluttering at all.
I`ve felt like going for a nap too, it`s been dark, wet & very windy here all day- but I resisted the urge as it makes me feel worse afterwards! Prep done for a lamb hotpot, and I`ve done some crumble to put over some tired pineapple when the oven goes on in a bit.
Next door`s chimney pot has blown off and smashed in their front garden. Nobody hurt just a bit panicked!
    Stay safe everyone. x

I think it's the weather and dull days getting everyone down, I've had a banging headache all day (since I got up at 3 am) and can't get warm so have done virtually nothing. The kids have gone to Maccies and then I think I'll be having an early night.
Doggy seems uncomfortable so I've made her an appointment for toomorrow. She doesn't seem to be in pain but she is a tough little dog so it's hard to tell. She loves a good stretch but stops halfway so something must be bothering her.

  • Morning Messies!

Dibuzz, your observation of doggy is wise and loving. See what the vet advises now, I`ll be thinking of you both today. (HUGS)x

OH and I are meeting his sister for lunch today as she is up here for the week visiting her elderly MIL who has just gone from hospital to a nursing home. We don`t see much of her as she lives so far away, so there`ll be lots to catch up on but not much done in the house again I`m afraid!
The wind last night was dreadful, but apart from next door`s chimney & a few tiles broken it seems just stuff like buckets & bins blown around. Could have been a lot worse.
I`m just glad it`s calm and sunny this morning - for now, at least.

So much for my early night, I went to bed at 8 straight after Corrie and fell asleep almost instantly then woke up at 11.30, lay there for a couple of hours then gave up and came down.

Not looking forward to seeing the vet but I will go with whatever she advises.

We've lost the front fence between us and next door, it's all smashed up in her garden so I will get youngest to shift it all for her when he gets up.
There doesn't seem to be any other damage which surprised me as I could hear crashes and bangs all night.
