I found this on the interwebs
These Apps Will Help You Make 2014 Less Filthy
:rotfl:
I quite like the look of the 'unfilth your habitat' app for iPhone (although I don't have one. there is a link to UfYH) but he/she does drop the F-bomb A LOT like almost every other f-ing word) but once you get around the fact they have a limited vocabulary the idea is sound.
there are before/after pics but there is loads of swearing (mostly the F-word) on them too.
rest assured I may not post every day/week but I have subscribed to the thread and read everyone's posts when they arrive in my inbox.

Good morning,
Most of my Christmas decorations are still up, I just wanted a bit of peace so removed the stuff from the fireplace and console, the trees are still up.
It's finally stopped raining, hopefully that will help reduce the laundry pile even more. I also need a couple of things from the town so I will venture out in a bit (I need the excuse to get out for a walk, can't motivate myself to exercise if it's just for the sake of it - I'm a reformed exercise lover!).
Other things to do today, general tidying and sorting out the stash and dash cupboard above the airing cupboard. Have a good day everyone.0 -
Busy day ahead.
I have tipped upside down (my overflowing) laundry basket, and placed everything into piles....I WILL do about 8 lots of washing today, on my second lot now!! I aim to put it all away too to save a job tomorrow. Back to normality (nearly, DS back at school Tuesday)
Decorations still up so im also going to move all the bits away and leave tree up until the 6th (i need all the luck going this year!!)216/2018 (make ££ in 2018)

I'm leaving the tree for now as it went up late and son and his gf did a great job. I love just having the tree lights and corner lamp on.
I had a bad night last night I think I got about half an hour's sleep all night
I've got a cheque to pay into the bank, we've tried to convince my mum to use internet banking but she won't and I rarely go into town so have to make a special journey to do it. She keeps asking why I've not paid it in yet so I'd better make the effort.
I'll then have weeks of her asking me what I bought with it but usually it just disappears with the rest of the money on bills and food.
I'm on my 3rd load of washing so at least that is getting done.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Hope the weather isn't too bad where you are. We're under a flood alert but the weather doesn't seem too bad, I think it's a really high tide today so it may yet kick off!
Sadly, even though it's sunny it's far too windy to hang laundry out. I can happily report that I am now down to one full laundry basket only *yay*. I've had a general tidy today, DH did the washing up and put everything away. I have some ironing to do and I think there's some stuff loitering on the kitchen table. That's about it for me today so I may do some batch cooking this afternoon to make use of some dubious veg.
Have a good day.0 -
Morning all!
Not feeling too good today, hoping the tablets kick in soon. Very windy here and a high tide predicted so we're keeping an eye on the sea through our binoculars! We live on a hill so not at risk of flooding. Such horrible weather to start the new year.
I've just put a rice pudding and some creamy garlic potatoes into the oven, leaving them to cook all day ready for supper tonight. Had a run in with the doctors surgery yesterday, my son has Crohn's disease and had his bloods done on 16th Dec, he wasn't too well over christmas so i went to the surgery on Tues to see if his blood results were ok. They told me that they were 'fine and no action needed'. Yesterday i got a letter from the hospital (surgery faxes blood results to hosp) saying that his Lymphocytes were very low and to stop taking his meds. Why didn't the doctor notice??!!! He could have been off his meds a few days ago if the docs had picked up on it!! Anyway, have spoken to the doc and let him know how disappointed i was that it wasn't picked up by them as they get the results first. He was very apologetic & said it won't happen again!
The tree is still up in our living room, can't be bothered to take it down yet as i'm enjoying the lights! Have put a few presents away, need to get the kids to put the last of their stuff away today then i will take the tree down!
Sorry for the long post, i needed a good moan!
Take care,
JxxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0 -

We've been to the vet's this morning, it looks like another op for doggy. The vet thought it was worth a try and will take a lot more away around the tumour this time so recovery will take longer but she was hopeful of a full recovery although can't make any promises.
The downside is the cost -almost £500 but I will find it somehow ( no idea how yet!)
The vet did say she will do blood tests and scans before she operates and if it looks worse than she think she will ring me before she opens her up so that's booked for Monday.
House-wise I don't feel like doing anything apart from the usual washing and drying14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

Dibuzz - sorry to hear about your darling doggy. hope the vets are able to sort it out once and for all.
FW - good for you sticking up for your son. It's annoying when they can't don't read the results properly. Usually the blood testing department will flag up (highlight) results which are out of the normal range... I wonder how your GP missed it.
Alec - keep safe, the tide is supposed to be unseasonally high today (the PM one is supposed to be the worst)
JPS - take it steady and slowly. hope you're getting better.
Emm - glad to ehar you are on the mend after your op(s).
Waves at everyone else... HAPPY NEW YEAR.
better go, kids sound like they are going to come through the ceiling any minutejust in case you need to know:
