Happy Christmas everyone.
Emm - th nk you for taking the time and trouble to let us know how your getting on, make sure you get plenty of rest & delegate everything.
Farmers wife - good to hear you sounding more positive. When I've been in that situation I already begin to feel a little better as I have been taken seriously & I know it will be getting better when the medication kicks in IYSWIM.
The house is in chaos as usual but the hall & the room we changed to a bedroom for my Grandma look good, OH mentioned how much he likes the hall when it's clutter free I wonder if this will stop him leaving 4 tool boxes in there for over a month? Or various pairs of shoes and boots on the floor or will he start using the shoe rack?Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Happy Christmas Messies!
I crashed out early last night so I`m first up - must`ve slept 12 hours! Started my day listening to Archers R4 on iplayer (sad!) & cried at it (SAD!) - can hear rumblings upstairs now so going to put kettle on - I`ll be back this afternoon when it`s calmed down.
Have a lovely day, however you are spending it. Big Hugs((())) to everyone.0 -
I'm still waiting for everyone to get up!
I was so tempted to get my revenge for past years at 5am and wake them all up but decided on the cup of tea and browse in peace option instead.
Going to get dressed and walk the dog now I love Christmas morning when all the little ones are out on their new bikes followed by bleary eyed parents :rotfl:14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Hi everyone, happy Christmas messies - old and new.
Well its turned out to be a nice day in the end, very relaxed and chilled out. Still feel a bit peeved that the build up was so stressful but I just have to put that behind me.
I am another happy-with-my-own-company type. I turned down the girly night out last weekend because it was going to involve very busy pubs and I knew I just wouldnt enjoy it.
Right -off to watch Downton - enjoy the rest of the day everyone x.0 -
We had a relaxed day too, I wasn't looking forward to it with things as they are and did find it hard at times but it was ok and even though I didn't spend much the kids liked their presents.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

Happy Boxing Day everyone!
At last time to catch up properly - it`s so good to hear from folks who have become friends despite that we`ve all never even met.
JPS - I`m so glad they`ve got you diagnosed and treated, you must have had those ulcers festering awhile and no wonder you weren`t feeling right, Bless you!
FW - Another timely diagnosis! I hope the meds kick in soon, but meanwhile at least you know you`re on the way.
I hope everyone enjoyed yesterday - and now enjoying today.
I had a lovely day, with much counting of Blessings - DGD & DS here in the morning but gone to their respective dinners in the afternoon, so had a quiet time just me & OH, then DD called in on flying visit to check up on me with eldest DGS, which was lovely. Quiet evening with telly & wine. We didn`t bother with the usual dinner, we brunched earlier then had a mild chicken curry, which was what we fancied!
I supervised the cooking of a carvery leg of lamb & steamed veg on Christmas Eve, and tonight we`re having the leftover lamb with leeky mash & sprouts. I`ve also got a big lump of smoked ham simmering in apple juice for tomorrow, and delegated 2 WM loads today so won`t feel all behind!
I have thankfully taken off the horrible white elastic socks today, and unwound the pressure bandage as instructed - phew, it`s SO nice not to feel squished! Have also taken dressings off and inspected the surgeons` handiwork - all clean & dry but no need for new dressings, so just a soft comfy seamless bra & I feel like a new woman!! Honestly, the worst bit was getting the sticky part off, and it was starting to itch.
Have to wait till mid-January for histology results etc., but I already know there`s radiotherapy lurking ahead and this doesn`t trouble me as I`ve had it before and know it doesn`t hurt, etc.
OH is going to light a fire soon, he`s just refilled the bird feeders and they are HEAVING - all the usual customers but we have more sparrows than I`ve ever seen in one place!!!
(((HUGS))) to all. x0 -
Glad you had a good day Emm.
I've done some washing today, did one load yesterday too but that was just daughter's uniform as she worked Christmas Eve and needed it for this morning.
Kids are at their dad's so just my mum and me here, we had baked spud, turkey and sprouts for dinner and enjoyed it just as much as the full dinner yesterday.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Merry Christmas messy people!!
Thank you all for your kind words, you really are a tonic!
Yesterday went very well, parents round for lunch - everybody said it was delicious so that was good. Had a stonking headache after they left, i thinks it was the relief of everything going ok. We were all so full that we had a mini buffet for supper and watched tv till bedtime.
I've done a bit of washing today, have LOADS of ironing to do, meant to do it before 25th but hid it in the office instead! haha!
Emm - Big hugs x
JxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0
