My dd wasborn on the 28th dec so just missed being a xmas baby.

Dibuzz you have real skills in crafting well done.

Iv done nothing today feeling a bit low. Hopefully come tomorrow Ill feel more motivated.

    Take care everyone.
  • Morning Messies!

Kayester, welcome - we`ll all be delighted to have you join us, so just pop in anytime.

Dibuzz, those minions are brilliant! I didn`t know what they were myself till recently, DGD made me watch lots of minions clips on u-tube. Have a look at them, they`re really funny.

Snookey, thanks, yesterday went fine - had all the usual pre-op stuff (ECG, blood taken, a million questions & another load of printed info) then back to work, which was somehow very `normalising` - I now have 2 days off then a long shift.
I keep feeling there`s lots I should be doing now but can`t get into it, mine`s not so much `low` as CBA yet!
It`s dark, cold, wet & blustery here.
Last night`s pork (shoulder, much tastier than leg especially next day) dinner leftovers was nice and easy, but we ate late, so this morning I`ve tackled the washing up.
I`ve taken the reluctant dogs out, and that`s it, so far.

I have a couple of errands, Tesco`s on the way home, and later on I must sort & wrap a few things to deliver tomorrow.
Other than that, the day is my lobster.
    I don`t like lobster....
  • Glad it went well yesterday Emm.

I have been through the "excited about Christmas" phase and come out the other side. I think I'm too organised and I don't get the exciting rushing around tearing my hair out feeling anymore. Never thought I'd miss that but there you have it!

I'm very undermotivated at the minute, there are things I want from the town but the idea of leaving the house is unappealing. I think it may have something to do with the fact that DH got up at 2.55 this morning to do some work that was on his mind. He worked until 6.30, had a 30 minute microsleep then got up and was at work for 8. I feel like a zombie, who knows what he'll be like when he gets home.

I've done some laundry today as I'd almost run out of essentials. I need to shift the decoration boxes into the garage as I'm sick of seeing them and I have to deep clean the bunny pen, not looking forward to that.

Despite the fact I sound like a massive grump I am in a good mood! Hope you're all ok, don't work too hard.

    Morning,

I'm full of beans this morning which is amazing considering the wild weather kept waking me up last night. Hope the weather's not too bad where you are.

I'm focusing on laundry today, I'm going to get as much done as possible. I don't know how safe it will be to put things outside but I'll give it a go and just be prepared to chase the airer around the garden.

    Have a good day.
  • Good Morning!

Alec E, I had to chuckle at the mental picture of you chasing the airer round the garden - hope it didn`t come to that.

We`ve all gone a bit quiet on here, probably folks dashing around trying to get sorted - even those who thought they were on top iof things suddenly realise there`s more they think they should be doing.
I`ve done nothing at home, yesterday was a mad shift, and this afternoon will be another. Colleagues have been brilliant though, and I`m glad to be kept busy - haven`t had time to dwell on my own thoughts and feelings.
My bag is packed ready for Monday, tomorrow I`ll be chasing around doing last-minute stuff. I`m just looking forward to waking up on Tuesday and being allowed home.

Don`t stress more than you have to. x

Good luck for Monday Emm hope it all goes well.

I've not done much, just trudging along really.
I had an assessment the other day and was out forward for counselling but not looking forward to it, I did realise how far back things went though and remembered a few things I'd blocked out, not sure if that's good or not.

Tomorrow is my Grandson's 1st birthday, this time last year I was so looking forward to being a Grandma but when your son and his fiancee hate you it isn't going to work.

I've also had to think about having my dog pts, we noticed another lump last night and this morning there are 2. I don't know how I'm going to cope without her, she is my best friend (only friend really now my neighbour has gone) and I love her so much but I don't want to put her through more operations and treatment. I don't want to lose her either.
I really don't know what to do right now.

  • Thanks Rosieben.

Dibuzz ((HUGS)). I think the counselling is a good idea, but can understand you`re not looking forward to it. Sometimes dragging up the past - constructively - is the only way to put it behind you. Try not to dwell on things till you start with the counselling.
If your dog is well in herself at the moment, see what the vet advises. Don`t try crossing bridges before you reach them.
Sorry to rush this, gotta go. x

  • Hi all

Havent been on here much lately. I have been working extra hours and we have had DS2s bedroom redecorated so the house has been like a bomb site. I have literally been on the go from half six in the morning till gone 9 at night every day for the last few weeks.

As for Christmas, well sorry to be a grump but I really couldnt care less at the moment! It just feels like a lot of hard work and stress and I am struggling to feel very festive. I did enjoy going to the panto with the family last week but thats the only night out I have had. Oh dear I sound like a bit of a misery dont I?

I think I need a new plan for 2014 which probably should involve getting the rest of the family to help out more.

Anyhow, good luck for tomorrow Emm. Hope everyone else is getting there with whatever preparations you need to make. Going to get my jim jams on and get an early night I think. Last couple of days at work then I am off until the following Monday which will be nice.
