My home is a mess

Good morning.
Hope everyone had some fun over the weekend. My weekend was quite productive in one way and another, lots of soul searching was done and I'm ready to make some changes.
Just doing the usual Monday stuff today - laundry, buns, kitchen primp etc. Need to do a few bits and bobs in the town and do some exercise. Have a great day.0 -
Hi Messies!
Well, this house feels quiet today...DS`s GF has gone home, DGD is back at her mum`s, and both dogs are asleep round my feet. I`ve got a few errands done, and another couple of pressies sorted, plus given the GF her stuff as we won`t see her till after new year. I`ve got duck cooked for tonight`s meal, just have to do some bits for stirfry & thaw some noodles.
The kitchen is reasonable, except the floor...it`s like a swamp with crunchy bits. I can put it off no longer.0 -
Hi all, love the description of your kitchen floor there Emms. Add a few dog hairs and mine is the same. Cant wait until my new hoover comes on Friday so I can ditch the expensive waste of money I currently have and have something that actually picks things up off the floor.
Tired tonight. Doggie woke at 1.30 this morning and refused to settle. This is very unlike him and I really hope he doesnt do it again tonight. I have a bit of extra work to do tomorrow, then both my paid job and voluntary job on Thursday. Busy week! Off to finish tidying the kitchen and will be getting an early night I think.0 -
Today I was up a ten past five this morning. I washed some dishes and had a quick clean up. Thats all Iv done today.
Up early tomorrow as the washing machine man is coming. Ill have to clean the kitchen floor before he arrives as the dog treads mud in from outside. Not worth doing tonight.
Yorkshire lass hope you get some sleep tonight. Our dog went through a phase of keeping us awake. We had to ignore him in the end as he loved the attention. Hard when you have neighbours though.
Emm you make me drool with your food.
Alec did you manage the exercise. Thats something Im going to have to do.0 -
It's the other way round here, I keep doggie awake. I think she's quite happy when I give up and come downstairs. If she does follow me down she has a drink goes out for a wee and runs straight back up to bed.
Youngest son is still up so I've said goodnight and good morning as we passed on the stairs.
We bathed doggy on Sunday which she wasn't happy about, she spent the next hour sulking in her basket and giving us dirty looks so I gave the bathroom a good clean to get rid of her hair.
We also took the broken freezer out and left it in the front garden hoping ane of the scrapmen would spot it and one did yesterday so he's coming back with his van later. Ive got a dead strimmer he can have too if it's any use to him.
We did a bit of moving stuff around to try to make more room in the kitchen but I'm not sure if we achieved anything apart from making more mess.
We had 4 different charity bags through the door yesterday all for different days so I'm going to get rid of what I can and at least one of them is bound to turn up. We get nothing for months then they all decide to come the same week.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

We seem to get a lot round here, they drive slowly up the road having a good look in people's gardens so I knew it wouldn't be long before it was spotted. Much quicker than waiting for the bulky rubbish collection.:)14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Morning everyone
Well thankfully the dog didnt wake up last night and I slept really well, feel raring to go this morning!
Good way to get rid of the freezer. When we had a skip outside we got rid of loads of stuff to scrap men, which meant we could put more of our rubbish in the skip!
Off to get the washing hung out and ready for work. Sounds like its going to be really windy tonight here so I had better make sure everything is tidy outside.0 -
We have vans drive up and down looking for scrap also if you put items out in the front people usually pick it up. If its something thats still decent its a good way of recycling.
Iv spent two hours sorting the kitchen. Gave the floors a deep clean, pulling out machines to mop under. The amount of dirt that gathers is amazing.
Dibuzz our dog is due a wash. He sits in the shower with big sad eyes as if we are doing the worse thing you could possibly do,lol.
Im going to do more cleaning and clearing later when Iv rested my foot. Its so annoying as I can not stand for long without it swelling.
Just wait now for the repair man and someone who is borrowing our cat trap as her cat has escaped near the vets. We got ours as we have had strays in the cellar a couple of times. No doubt we will again with the cold weather coming in. I dont mind though as at least they are warm down there.0 -
Afternoon all!
It's christmas central here today! haha!! I've been making and bagging up some fudge for hampers this morning, mr farmer won't be happy when he sees that the fudge has gone as i know he's been sampling it on the sly!mopped kitchen floor, went to fill the car up with fuel - nearest garage 8 miles away - i meant to fill up on the way back from shopping the other day and totally forgot. The car was running on vapours so i had to go! Now i'm having a cuppa before i go to youngest daughters school to do after school 'christmas cake club'! It's the last week so the kids are finishing the decoration on their cakes and then wrapping them in cellophane etc. I'm pleased with the results so far and the kids have enjoyed it!
Not sure what we're having for supper, i've got a piece of gammon in the slow cooker so we might have jacket potatoes, gammon & cauli cheese.....
Hope everyone's having a good day!
jxxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0
