I would say try calling the holiday people first, then Royal Mail Candy; it won't make things worse, or ask W@tchdog tv programme for advice? Good Luck!

This thread is magical! While posting last, there was a mini roast cooking & since then I've:-
    1/washed up those dinner things,
2/cleaned the top of the cooker,
3/wiped the fingerprints from the fridge freezer doors that have been annoying me for weeks
4/& made a salad for tomorrow's lunch boxes, to go with some eggs I boiled earlier this afternoon.
I'm particularly proud of No4 as I've been meaning to do this for months, if not years :o Afraid that I'm one of those people who has an idea, then takes a-g-e-s to put it into practise..either that or a very dodgy memory..probably a bit of both :D

I'm going to give the 'deal with or dump it' threat another go Crafty; it worked a couple of times when they were a lot younger, & may just again--Thanks for reminding me :p

If the rain stays off tomorrow, I hope to get weedkiller over the back garden. Those pesky little blighters are a real pain & all my home-made chemical-free attempts have not brought the best results, due in large hulking-great dollops to no-one following up once we've spent three days clearing the damned things :wall: Having 3 out of 4 in the house with hayfever doesn't help either

The recipient will get a card from the postie saying she has post to collect with a charge on it, and can pay when she collects it :)

I think listing 2 items a night might work for me too :D I might get my bedroom cleared in a month then :rotfl:

At least it will be gone in a month though :D. I used to sit and think too much faff to list but wouldn't throw it out either at least this way it does go. :rotfl:

jackie's right my postie knocked this morning and passed me a letter with a sticker on saying i had to pay 1.36 thats the stamp price plus a £1 fee. Turned out to be some stickers i bought from ebay. Seller offered free postage so i emailed to tell him postage was meant to be free for me he was meant to put a stamp on. I'm insulted enough that i paid at beg of april and he marked them as dispatched yesterday. All polite suggestions for his feedback welcome.lol

Now have a system for laundry to prevent all the washing baskets being dumped in my bedroom. OH brought them up and I sorted laundry into piles on the landing and presented a basket to OH and DD with their laundry to put away. As OH had brought down a pile of washing on Tuesday his basket was overflowing ;)

Wish someone would write a husband training manual! Dogs are so much easier.....

Got the downpipe fixed on greenhouse so if we have rain the water tank will fill up nicely am now totally worn out, so will fill the dishwasher and go to bed. House still a tip, but now due as much to bags for throwing out as the stuff we want to keep.

    Morning not so messy messies.

Raring to go today after a complete CBA day yesterday. It was my last day at work and I had a total lazy head on. So I have decided to start mat leave as I mean to go on and have already got a load of washing in and want to get it dried before the rain comes back. I am going to clean the cooker next  as soon as I finish breakfast then do a few more bits before doing the shopping :eek::eek:.

Later a bit of sewing I think as a treat - I have some crib sheets to make.

I hope you all have a lovely, productive day. Don't work too hard, it would be awful to ruin our reputation.;):rotfl::p

Enjoy your mat leave parsnip head it's a very special time. I filled the freezer with my DD. If steam fresh bags of veg had been available then I'd have stocked up on them. Read and do little, you'll be busy soon enough!!
Packing today for London, started with a stinking cold and throat thing.Typical! DH birthday today. Only going to tackle shopping and packing today and yet another set of bedding to wash for DS. Anyone have any ideas of nappies that hold out overnight? Tried a little stardrops on my oven door yesterday after reading the OS thread on it. It hasn't been cleaned for 7 :eek: years. It made a little bit of difference but I really need a concentrated effort. It's Friday the 13th guys I think that denotes a CBA day!!! Have a good one!:j

For those who have messy "children", OHs, etc in the house - would it maybe be a suggestion to find yet another use for trugs. That is - having a nice large trug or two that can be carried round the house by its two handles and all "clutter" belonging to anyone else can be picked up in one fell swoop - and put in the garage/outhouse/wherever else its being dumped until the "owner" retrieves it and parks it in their own room?

I love trugs - they fulfil a multitude of purposes - not just garden ones. Mini skips, mini waterbutts for putting out for ensuring no rainwater gets wasted when its bucketing it down with rain, shopping bags, nice strong buckets for holding the water and detergent when cleaning floors, throwing a collection of things in that need cleaning (ahem - so they are easier to move around when one STILL hasnt cleaned them :o).
