Craftygranny I don't answer my door unless I am expecting someone or I am standing behind it and they can see me through the glass :rotfl: as for the phone - everyone who knows me, knows I don't answer, I let my ansa machine screen the calls, lol!

Well, amongst the mess of filing I have found some cheques for share dividends in my former name (I am ashamed to say some go back to the year 2000). In my defence we have had a turbulent few years with family bereavements, 3 major ops for me and OH also in and out of hospital. Will send them off and ask if they can be reissued so fingers crossed I have actually made some money from filing :rotfl:

Blimey that would make me file paperwork if I could get something from it, sadly not in my pile.:(

Morning all, well ive a busy day today so wont be back on till tonight, but hopefully ill be able to report ive got lots done!

My daughter (4) has a huge abcess (i think) come up above her top teeth so its a trip to the dentist, then its time to drop the baby off with her nana as she wants to take her shopping for the day, back down the hill and get living room cleaned up, take 4 year old to school. Then back home to start clearing my son's bedroom and take his bed out to put in my room. Measure room and nip and buy a carpet. Pick kids up from school, feed them then a mad hour taking furniture out sons room ready to decorate tomorrow. then its sons 2 and half hour judo lesson before coming home to collapse at 9pm lol. Oh im meant to be fitting an hour ina t the gym on top of that too!

anyone fancy swapping lol...im gonna be shattered tonight, as i dont drive either and live at the bottom of a huge hill...and everywhere i need to go today is at the top!! how typical lol

I hope your little one feels better soon.
I don't think you will need the gym after all those hills though.

Uh oh. I've discovered something else to stop me doing housework. There's a new magazine out. It's called Mollie Makes (there's a link to some sample pages on their blog here.) It's a craft magazine and it's just like the lovely craft blogs out there. It's a bit pricey, but there is a subscription offer with the first 3 issues at only £5

Hubby picked it up for me yesterday and I'm looking forwrd to having a good browse.

Did you have to, I want it now.;) No I will resist:rotfl:

I am proud to say the cooker is done, the shopping is done (I'm not going to A$da on a Friday morning again though, it was awful) and a chocolate eclair de-cluttered from fridge, I needed the space:o. Just managed to nominate myself to drive to Birmingham now to pick up OH. Silly me.

I know I have a good excuse not to do too much :o but I am usually running around like a headless chicken and Im not used to sitting so long, I even had a catnap :rotfl: as it is so tireing doing nothing :o but then Ive put it down to the pain killers (nothing to do with age :rotfl:).
My days (and evenings) are usually taken up with work, school runs and shopping but now Im home I still can't clear my house and It's driving me nuts :( I sit here thinking I wish I could move stuff and decorate, brought wallpaper a month ago to do my bedroom and the living room. I need to declutter before I even think of that :(

Hart i know exactly where your coming from . When i first moved here i had cellulitus in my leg for 6 months and wasn't allowed to move from the couch. I had my oh drag the ironing board and the iron to the couch so i could do it i was so bored . Yet now i'm able to do stuff i don't want to and leave it as long as possible.

I bought wallpaper to encourage me to get on with things quicker but it didn't work . In the garage i have paper for the kitchen and the hallway , paint for the bathroom, shower room, toilet and staircases . new toilet seats, brushes, bins etc for them too and they have been there weeks. painted 3 walls in the kitchen last week so only have the paper to do and still not touched it.

My oh blames it on the fact that before we can do anything we always have to move piles off stuff and they never seem to have a home thats why i'm ebaying a few a day to get them out of here . Hopefully the paper will move to the kitchen wall this weekend . lol

I had forgotten it was Friday 13th  went shopping and had to convince a supervisor that the reduced packs of rolls at 45p weren't good value when they had a 3 for £1.20 sticker on them - tried to explain that paying 15p more for short shelf life rolls wasn't on! OH tried to pretend he wasn't with me (problem was there were no unstickered ones on the display).

Then came back to split open black bag and mess all along the tidy hallway. Dogs looking as if butter wouldn't melt!!!

Bought a big plastic box for the archiving so that will clear it to the loft!!!

Hart it's awful having to sit doing nothing as I well know. Do look after yourself though.

Thank you Craftygranny and Soupdragon :o Im feeling sorry for myself :o but I know it's only for a little while but I know I will only put of house work for sewing when I am better :rotfl:
I have about 6 tins of paint waiting from last year when Wilkinsons had Dulux paint for £2 a tin, well I would have kicked myself if I hadn't brought it :rotfl: one of those was a kitchen paint usually £15 :) I started painting my kitchen cupboards last summer (2nd week of the school hols) but I still have not finished it :o I had orange varnish cupboard but they were hand made (previous house owner) so I stripped them down and painted them cream all except the sink cupboard, I lost interest :o

It's nice to see everyone doing a little and often here though so keep up the good work :T
