My home is a mess

Hello messies, old and new! Lovely to see you again Cat, and thanks for keeping on posting all you lovely stalwarts. Hope you're feeling better now Emm.
I have officially entered the dreaded peri-menopause and have been alternately deeply, gutwrenchingly sad and crying, furiously angry (that only lasts a second or two thankfully) and feeling like I'm going completely mad with things going round in my mind.
Badly disturbed sleep last night, cried on and off all day today and of course the house looks like I invited a dozen stroppy teenagers to cavort in it for a few weeks.
Luckily it's half term so I will go and see the Dr and see what can be done. I can't go on like this, I feel so utterly crap most of the time. Sorry to be on a downer... I hope I will be back to my (admittedly batty) but more cheerful self soon!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Forgot to say earlier (how could I have possibly forgot?) that it was good to see you in here again, Emms. I hope they find out what's wrong soon. In the meantime, try to be patient.
Oh, Jps, you're having it badly, aren't you? Definitely need to ask for help, asap, by the sound of it. I have to say, I came off fairly lightly except, nearing the end of it all, DD2 was seriously ill with depression herself. I coped fine for 18 months then, when she started to pick up, I hit a brick wall - not literally, you understand. A nurse tried 'bullying' me into asking the GP for HRT, and the GP, who knew what I'd been through, said I didn't need it, and she was right. What I needed was to get my head right. You're right, you can't go on feeling so lousy about life.0 -
Hello again, donna. Try not to get dispirited about it - life has to be lived, and a certain amount of messying usually results.
The washing hasn't quite dried, but it smells wonderful. Just discovered that I obviously dragged a small patch of the sheet on the grass, but I'll sponge that off..
hi bearcub...so excited sun has arrived!!! have washing on line :j:j:j:j0 -
Hi Messies.
Walkers, welcome & nice to `meet` you. I don`t blame you seeing to chicken house first, my old Daftie-dog gets more frequent bedding washes than the humans in this house. But that`s because she`s more stinky than us....
Donna - Hi, well done on your cleaning blitz after your back-slide. I`m looking forward to doing same, when I feel up to it.0 -
Me again - doing short posts cos of Disappearances.
Buffy - sorry, your post made me chuckle. Know what you mean about re-cycling taking over though. Normally I`d be going to local co-op where there`s recycling skips and dropping stuff there rather than let it collect and build up for the fortnightly collections, haven`t done that lately and there`s loads! Also, larger house/ extra shed/ caravan of Doom etc. just means more space for clutter - you`d still be doing the tetris thing if you`re anything like me!0 -
JPS, thanks for kind words. I`m sorry you`re feeling so lousy, hope your GP can help. Though I`m long past menopausal I can still get over-emotional. I can cope with flashes of anger - they usually result in positive action of some sort with me - but I can`t cope with being tearful (except a brief weep at the telly or something moving). I feel baggy-faced for days after a real cry. ((HUGS)) & hope you`re normal `battyness` soon shines through x0

Bearcub, you`ve hit the nail on the head there, Im not a patient sort of patient!! Am feeling a lot better but no stamina for my usual (albeit ineffectual) pottering at household stuff.
It`ll keep.
DGD is at other grandparents, am missing her.
Main Aim for the day- get on floor & cut Daftie-dogs toenails, will wait till OH is around to help me up off floor though.0 -
Afternoon Messies.
Lovely to hear you've been able to put your washing out to dry, Donna.
Emms, I can imagine you're not a patient patient - most people who busy themselves looking after others, don't take well to not being able to look after themselves!
Another lovely day, with towels blowing dry outside. I managed to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors yesterday, before Mum came over, so that's a another job jobbed!0 -
Hi everyone! Lovely day here, should be out walking but I plan to make some sort of start in this pigsty! Unfortunately I don't know WHERE to start! I guess just a massive clear out of rubbish would be a start, as usual it's the floordrobe which I'm dreading having to tackle!!
thanks to anyone who's had a look at my justgiving page! Sourcing a venue for a quiz night right now! Lots of planning and organising to do, hoping to get teams from local organisations and businesses and going to start bullying people for raffle prizes when my authorisation letters from the charity arrive! Daunting, but I'm enjoying myself so far!!
jps so sorry to hear you are feeling so badxx I hope the doctor can help you, sounds like you really need it *big hugs*! I remember my mum having a pretty bad time so I'm dreading it!!!
Glad you're feeling a bit better Emm! xx
Well, another coffee in the name of procrastination then I really WILL make a start once I've got dinner on
love to all!!xx
