Recorded is hugely unreliable, but you may be lucky with it.
All your tracking needs to show is 'attempted/delivered or refused' you will then get your refund.
Most RD on here unfortunately never say anything other than 'progressing through the network'. Keep us updated.
Is your PO a small one where you could sweet-talk the counter staff into changing your postage?
if i do that will in invalidate all the details i have already sent to paypal?? as there is no longer a submit tracking details button?0 -

Ok. I would have probably waited until something showed up online on the RM website. It just gives the seller a bit less of a chance to know what is happening that's all.
As you have done it now, you will just have to wait and see what the parcel does online.0 -

If i don't hear owt soon i'm off to bed
Must admit recorded 'signed for' mail as become a joke at Royal Mail, and the mail watchdog must be turning a blind eye. Most postmen just post them, or hand them over without bothering to record the delivery or get a signature.
The problem then, is that receiver knows that the transaction was not recorded properly and they claim non-delivery. It happened to me before christmas. A woman claimed an item failed to arrive. I would normally just refund - but i was suspicious - so i told the woman who was trying it on, that i needed her to sign a statement confirming non-receipt - as Royal Mail were disputing it. She soon emailed saying it had suddenly turned up. It still showed as undelivered online.
Hopefully yours is showing as delivered by now?0 -
