Transparent means clear and easy to understand. If the cost is £X up front, I understand that. If the cost is £X plus extras of £X + £X + £X + £X that come out later through the booking process this is less transparent, especially when the charges do not relate to the actual costs incurred by the airline, the £6 online check-in fee being a prime example. A family of four are charged £48 return to check-in one booking on a website!0
