I just want to get from A to B in the cheapest way possible and most times that means flying with RyainAir. So far so good as the staff have always been nice to me. However, some people may think they are being a bit off with them but that is only because they are busy. Just do not take it personally.

Is it just me or is it that Ryanair bargain flights are not quite so readily available these days?

For instance Edinburgh to Marseille flying out July 2nd returning July 16th is £946.08 for two. That is before any add ons! Some way off penny flights!!!

Are the pips beginning to squeak?

    Me again.

Just noticed that if I wait a couple of days, drive to Liverpool, the wife and I can get to Toulon leaving on 4th, returning on 18th for £83.96!!!!

No brainer as it turns out, as far as I am concerned, but a curious marketing policy, methinks.

Now that is expensive! I have never seen a RyanAir flight so expensive. I think the days of 1p flights are now a thing of the past sadly.

Also you could also use SkyScanner to see if there cheaper dates to fly out on

Hmm ... but there is bizzy and there is busy.

On my last two flights I have sat in the front row and on both flights the two front cabin crew were not strapped in their seats as we crossed the line on to the active runway. They were bizzy in the galley counting scratchcards and Mars bars.

They were not busy overseeing cabin safety.

I for one take that personally.

The Ryanair delay/cancel levy should be tackled by the EU and made illegal.
I have run my own businesses for 30+ years and this sort of thing is part of the cost of doing business. Business costs should be bundled into the price of the product and not 'dripped' onto the customer.
Imagine if you got to the local supermarket and were met with an announcement that £2 would be added to your purchase at the checkout to cover delays in road haulage of groceries?
In my main line of business (motor trade) a lot of my competitors are now making compulsory charges for 'extras' (e.g. 'environmental charges' for disposal of old oil, antifreeze, tyres etc) - we don't do that and always quote no 'hidden extras'. Unless something is genuinely optional then it should not be charged for seperately (you may wish to itemise it on the invoice, but it should always be included in any advertised headline price, such as the cost of a service).

As regards the attitude of Ryanair FA's. Most of them are grumpy because they don't like the company. I had a tenant who was a Ryanair FA and she hated the company with a passion. O'Leary has publically berated his staff more than once...

Correct, they just increase the price on the shelf and don't tell you why. At least RyanAir are being transparent.

Malkie, knock it off with this transparent BS. Ryanair and easyJet have made a big play about not levying fuel surcharges. Now fuel prices have gone through the roof they are increasing all sorts of charges and introducing others to try and offset the increase. Nothing to do with transparency.

Telling you why there are increases in the breakdown of costs is 100% transparent in my opinion.

Don't like it then chose another carrier or mode of transport.

Sure, the surcharges are annoying, but they do let some people play the system by booking cheap fares and taking no bags + wearing a multi pocket coat that cost five times the baggage charge.

Either way - just check the bottom line before booking. Use this to compare flights and book which is best for your. And best may not be cheapest - factor in location, ariport, miles and "service" from the airline.
