I'm delurking to say 'I'm in!'. I've already sown mine as my DS is having a little friendly competition with his cousin, but can't hurt having a bit more competition :T

They are only about an inch high at the mo and goodness know where I will plant them. I can't remember what they were, will edit later. Hopefully they are a tall variety otherwise not much point :D. I should think they were though.
  • I'd love to join in too, I've got half a bag (big bag) of black sun flower seeds which is bird food, does anyone think they would grow and if so would anyone like some? Quite happy to stick some in the post.

I've erm got about 1lb in weight of the blighters, maybe more.:o

i have loads too in our parrot food!!- can i plant one and enter it in a mystery class:p
Im still searching for a packet of other seeds i bought the other day , so may take up this challenge till i buy more flower seeds as have compost, pots and nothing to plant!:rotfl:
I will round up the children now and let them plant a seed each- i doubt we will win this comp but we can have a mini family comp too:T

    Oh please be mine.

    Hello sunshine, goodbye rain,
She's wearing my high school ring on her chain.
She's my steady, I'm her man,
I'm gonna love her all I can.
    (Chorus)
Gonna cruise her round the town,
    Show everybody what I've found
    Rock'n'roll with all my friends
    Hopin' the music never ends.

These Happy Days are yours and mine (oh Happy Days)

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Now wonders if there should also be a pet / wild animal food class?

Why? Some of my best sun flowers when the kids were little were those planted from the hamster food. :D:T:D

Ok what's your address and I'll post a random selection to you and you can plant them at the weekend.

Probably the same time as me, as erm I've still not done mine - the cat is sleeping on my knee and gets upset if she gets moved so........
