sunflower growing competition

Some sunflowers are short, only growing to a few feet others are giants 10' plus and April is the ideal time to sow them.
How about 2 categories:- tallest one
- most multi blooms on one plant

I'll join, although all but 1 got eaten last year. I might enter the quickest to get eaten category. It your after an edible one, I am growing some Claret F1 Hybrid. They are deep red and grow 4 - 6 ft. It says you seeds make a tasty snack and the green bud before they flower can be cooked in butter.

I can foresee Daddy having to do alot of covering up at night after this nice weather finishes. :doh:Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I'm in, my primary school teacher partner won't let me join the one she's running for her class, so I've been looking for an alternative. Will there be a prize or is it for the glory alone?0
