To be fair one of your posts must be wrong............Now the insurance company has ended the policy.....Spoke to the insurance today. It has not been canceled. If I was to get another car I could have the policy transferred.
Good result by the sound of it0 -
Oh, just spotted the CCJ comment. CCJs will only show on your credit file if they are not settled within 14 days, so if you paid immediatly then you are clean as a whistle :cool:Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

They're still going to want their money for the points though.
The most cost effective solution would be to agree to pay the extra, and cancel your claim for the write off.
If you can do this, it will leave you your ncd intact for this year (but you will have to declare the accident for the future).
Depends on how much they're going to want.
You should be able to get your old car back, and sell it for salvage as well.0 -
Hmm. It probably would. That'd make it easier for me to get a deal on a new car as well, which is my only option at the moment because I don't have much set aside for even a cheap runaround at the minute.0

The car belongs to you, and unless you gave permission for it to be scrapped has been disposed of without your knowledge which could be tantamount to theft.
It's been a hard lesson for the OP, but should be grateful that a third party wasn't hurt or worse, as this could have been a pay for life (literaly) scenario.
What a load of tosh, Cat A & B can't be returned to the road.0
