maybe those who do jump on the next vote request or whatever may think first.
I agree with what you have said, but as someone who has in the past pointed out when posts are in the wrong place, do you think that people should be able to post what they want where they want? The boards would get in a heck of a mess if that happened. Surely it's kinder to people who post on the comp board asking for votes, to point them in the direction of the Referral Thread. They will get more response there and their original post won't just be moved without them knowing where or why it was done.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I found this page from the Daily Mail, and theres a link under the picture of a cottage that I can,t seem to open. If anybody else can click and open the link and post the details, that would be great.

Bit like double standards to me but know for sure it isn't the first time and no doubt it won't be the last. Will leave it there ,just wanted to point it out and maybe those who do jump on the next vote request or whatever may think first.:)
hi, i do hope you don't mean me,
if i see a Vote for Me post on any other board than the referral board i do post that the op has posted on the wrong board & i usually add the link for them to find the correct board, then i usually send a polite pm to a BG to explain/request a move request, which is done as soon as the BG can,
sometimes i'm short of time so i'll just send the thread link to a BG & afaik the move request has always been sent to the correct board,
we all post on the wrong boards sometimes, not just 'newbies'
i did it last week posting some postal comps & i had the main comps page open as well, what happened was i ended up with three consecutive postings on main instead of postals,
a reply bump/answer/ was posted straight away asking me if i had a link for the comps & then the op who bumped/answered realised
what had happened, so therefore i was able to get to the posts straight away to put them in the correct board, so i was very grateful to the op who answered to let me know,
this is what hopefully it's supposed to be all about,
if peeps just ignore the posts in the wrong place or start voting on the vote for me in the wrong boards, everyone will be posting on the wrong boards, it's up to us all to help each other by pointing out to the ops who's mistakenly posted in the wrong place/point them in the right direction for the correct board,
& also to report the post as soon as possible so the BG's can keep the boards clean,
as i said we all do it/have done it & no-one afaik would 'jump' on the op for mistakenly doing it, we're just trying to help each other.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Starting comping by doing postal comps then moved to uk.rec.competitions then Loquax then prizefinder then MSE
I never did prizefinder but did do CN (Smid's CN anyone)?SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Try using the forum search mate, you should find it like that.

If you go to
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?searchid=110968455
you'll find a long list of comps with £250 vouchers as prizes. Take your pick
I'll ask for this to be moved to the discussion board as this area of the board is just for comps.0 -

never heard of it! did CN stand for competition news?0 -
I think this may be the pitcher house voting comp that was posted so many times and removed every time.0

Compers News, I think. They had a website & monthly magazine but it's a paying site. Discovered MSE and didn't renew my sub :rotfl:
Updating with the website:
