Hi

I've been a member of MSe for along time and have tried on a few occasions to get into doing the competitions but i am going to try to stick to it this time. I have opened a comping facebook account and a twitter one. But I have a question I have entered quite a few facebook ones but how to they notify you? Do they PM you or email you if they have requested your email. Just with them posting so many posts I won't be able to see my name (ha ha if I was lucky enough to win )

Am I safe now???? I ventured into the big wide world of MSE to post a pc offer, and was very frightening. It may be of use if someone is needs a basic pc for surfing, kids, etc...

Hi suec - If you're not PM'd by the comp organisers on FB, you are often notified by MSE friends on there, as I stated in a post a few days ago. However I've just found I've won a FB comp by googling my name (in inverted commas) - the FB page came up :j To be fair, they'll be emailing me too, but it's nice to see I've won! Good luck and enjoy comping

I saw there was a MSE comping facebook page would it be alright if I request to join as I have only 1 friend on this account.

Hi Everyone, Just a quick question. Im doing the end of the month comps and noticed that on the Be Addictive links they all blocked. Are they still okay to enter or a bit spammy?

No idea Allison, it seems that a lot of sites are being blocked by mse the comps from the running-bug have also been blocked

can't understand why be-addictive has been blocked as they have sister sites like Dirt Bike Rider,Revo and Dirt Zone which have comps that are regularly posted and have not been blocked I have entered these comps for years without collating any spam from there sites

it's seems very unfair that MSE are now blocking numerous sites that are running competitions without giving any reason as to why they are blocking them :mad:

Ok i'll probably get into trouble from the MSE forum team for doing this but as they will not tell us why sites are getting blocked I have sent the following to Be-Addictve

I am a member of MSE (Money Saving Expert) and your comps where regularly posted on this site however they can no longer be posted as MSE has blocked us from posting your comps

MSE will not tell us why they are blocked :-(

is this something that you are aware of and if so can you perhaps shed some light on this, do you object to your comps being posted on MSE

will let you know if and when I get a reply

Thanks again for the help Amilucky. Weird MSE is blocking all these sites some of the sites youve mentioned Ive entered the comps and Ive never had a problem with spam either. Get the odd newsletter in my email but I dont mind that when you can win a nice prize. Same with the Magic Freebies site theyve never spammed me! Oh well. Thanks for the help with the sky email the other night it seemed to have sorted itself out now which is good

It might have been an issue with them giving/agreeing to one of the membership having sole permission to post their comps.
Not long after this was mentioned the site was blocked & this appeared.
Just a guess mind.

The list is starting to become a long one now we still haven't had an explanation as to why Love Offers is blocked when all of the other Dennis magazine comps are not

fnc63 asked in the post on this thread if the filter list could be shared with us he then went on to raise some very valid points which as far as I'm aware have been completely ignored by the MSE forum team

maybe we should when we come across sites that have been blocked add them to a list in the competitions guide

I have sent Velvetglove a pm to see if a list can be included in the competitions guide
