It might have been an issue with them giving/agreeing to one of the membership having sole permission to post their comps.
Not long after this was mentioned the site was blocked & this appeared.
    Just a guess mind.

If the above is the case it seems very unfair that the site should be blocked indefinitely and that everyone should suffer because of one member, maybe sites that are blocked for this reason should be blocked for a set time period?

I have just looked at the Be-addictive comps and they appear to have been posted by lots of different people so I'm not sure that what you say is the issue

I'm not sure what the MSE forum team mean by the term (vested interest posting)
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3426827

are they saying that a poster might be part of the company and will gain financially or are they implying that certain long term members might be gaining financially by posting comps on MSE I think that this is highly unlikely but if this is the case how can this be proven?

Hi,I'm not sure what has happened but loads of their comps have been deleted.
I think it was a member called Aussie Born (?) .
They posted lots from that site but I cannot see them on search.

ETA: I've found AussieBorns details here.Looks like all his posts have been wiped & he'll be posting no more as MSE has put him on the PPR list.
Maybe his postings are tied in to beaddictive getting blocked as I cannot find any of his beaddictive posts & he posted quite a few,as in 20+.He is now shown as having zero posts.
eg here are is a snapshot of his thanks/post record:

  • I used to be a regular here 12 months ago but had to give up
    (or go into rehab)!!!!

Please could people answer a question:

Does ticking all those pesky boxes on entry forms give us a better chance of winning?

Perhaps those that have been comping on here for 'ever' could tell us what they do on a regular basis.

    Thanks :)

Tip: if anyone would like to enter the current batch of Be-addictive comps on mse

    http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.com/competitions/Hotel-Chocolat-Summer-Desserts-Selections-i221

drag and drop or copy and paste the link with the exclamation marks into the address bar then delete the red part of the link and press enter you should find a Google link to the competition

not sure if this works on all browsers and if you have to have the Google toolbar installed but it works for me in FF and IE

if this doesn't work for you all is not lost copy the part in blue into the search box in most search engines to obtain the comp link

    hope this helps!

    Best of Luck :)

Anyone heard of Simply Prizes? I had a letter from them today asking me to join. They guarantee that if you do not win a major prize within a year they will refund the subscription. Reading through the brochure I cannot see that there is any advantage in joining them and it doesn't seem to have anything more than this site has.

Just wondering what you folks think of it. Apologies if you've had this discussion before.

I've seen some compers ask for email addresses to be posted as they don't have outlook. I don't have outlook but when I click on a link, it opens up straight in my gmail:

    Firefox
go to Tools - Options - Applications then scroll down to mailto and choose from the dropdown list.

    IE
Tools - Internet Options - Programs

Does anyone know how I can hide the source when I click on a link? I don't want promoters to know where I clicked the comp from. Is this possible? Thanks.
