Hi compingtinkertink2010 and welcome to MSE - I lurked for a couple of months before joining myself! No doubt you'll soon be hooked on comping

There's a FB group for MSE compers here - I think as I've taken a 6 month break from FB I'll be going back on there in a week or two! Feel I'm missing out on too many comps and comping friends, but I'll open a new account with a new 'comping' ID - I'll no doubt meet up with you there!

ETA: Am back on FB with an MSE account, so watch for Friend Requests!

Think that in a roundabout way they are asking did anyone belong or still belong to uk.rec.competitions

I used to be a poster on uk.rec.competitions until I found MSE, I used to quite like getting all of the comps with my emails never used to use the nasty online version

they even had a prolific poster like Laks and everyone used to complain about her posting to much and submitting dupes and not putting the end dates in the titles of her post's:rotfl:

but i'm afraid that I havent been back since I left many moons ago but I might just take a peep now just for old times sake

and yep Debs is still there plugging away posting comps which are probably gleaned from mse

they don't seem to have many posters there now checked back through a few pages of comps and Debs seem to be the only poster! :eek:

Yep! I had a diff name on there, haven't used uk rec for a few years but used to love it before finding loquax/mse.

I still can't believe debs is still posting to the level she does every day xxx

I used uk.rec.comps too! I was new to the internet and was scared of the troll LOL. There were a lot of nice people on there, but I think they drifted off after Debs pretty much took over the posting.

I don't think our prize thread is disgusting. Amazing is a better word.
