Had enough of cleaning for now, will finish lounge then sort something out for tea. Only 3 of us tonight as eldest has gone off to visit friends and have a BBQ so he wont be back until tomorrow (ah peace!). Will carry on with rest of my list after tea.Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

Morning world,
Not much happening in LiT world. Went back to work yesterday after a week off, could do with another holiday haha it was sooo busy. Got the kitchen to blitz today before Im in work and dinner to do so cant spend all day on here or on FB. If I spent as much time cleaning as I did on FB and browsing on this forum my house would be immaculate! Decided im going to do my cleaning in 15 minute spurts, that way I shouldnt get sidetracked. Ive found an online egg timer so I am going to use that!
Checked my banking and im still on target, no nasty surprises as of yet and im hoping to clear CC2 tomorrow!!! I have £10 in my purse and do not need to buy any food items so the whole of my WFTC will be going on clearing it. Its also my daughters birthday on Thursday and I will be making her a cake rather than spending £10+ on a shop bought one. She has requested her favourite meal (lasagne) so we shall be having that and not going out for a meal as we usually do. (Had enough meals out when we were on holiday)
Anyway best get cracking whilst theyre still in bed (can get more done that way). Back to school for them tomorrow Woohooo the past 3 weeks seem to have lasted an eternity!!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

:j:j Great news on the cc front. How well are you doing? (where is the raising the handbag to chest with a Woooo smiley when you need one?)
What a lovely position to be in with all 0% payments left. I would aim to clear the one with the earliest finish date. Or work out how much per month you need to clear it and then put that into a seperate savings account until the last month then pay it all off in one go. That way you will have a cushion for emergencies too.
Loving your diary - very motivational. thanksSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Woop woop woop woop!!
Had a tv aerial fitted today so I can get rid of my sky (saving me £24.50 a month) The cost £190!! OUCH!!! But i had budgeted for it. Land lady came round for her rent as they were installing it and she said that an aerial should of been fitted before I moved in!! Anyway result was she gave me back the £190!! Woop woop. Now means I can put it in my savings account to go towards my F and Fs! I also mentioned to her again about the shower not working and she said she would get it sorted out and would phone me. Electrician coming on Monday!
Going to declutter a tia maria and coke then go and sort my bedroom out as I had to move the bedroom round so the men could access the loft!
All in all a productive day I think!
Just 1 question though, do I have to do F and Fs to all my creditors at the same time or can I just do 1 at a time (over months!)Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

Brilliant news! Sounds llike you have a good landlady.
You can F & F one at a time. Have a look around the DFW board and you will find threads about who has had them accepted and also about the letters and wording you need to get them to use to ensure that when you pay them the lump sum they do not sell on the remaining debt and you have to start again. If they do this your credit rating won't show as settled .
I don't think it will be long before you are on the DFW roll of honour! One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Peed off today. Kids are doing my head in!!! DD is still in bed refusing to go to school which in turn will result in DS2 refusing to go to school tomorrow! Bl00dy sick of it. Both children are on CAFF due to poor attendance with lots of underlying issues. School has recommended counselling and other different things but as of yet they are just "saying" rather than doing. This has been a long haul (2 years now) and I have been asking for help since I moved here but nobody listens. It wasnt until I threatened to withdraw my children from school in January that the school decided to intervine. Ive had education welfare on my case and been threatened with fines and court if I dont get my children to school. Has anyone actually tried getting 2 teenagers to school when they refuse to go? Im trying my hardest but seem to be failing miserably. I understand that "every child matters" but what about me? Im feeling useless as a parent and sometimes I just wish that someone would come and take them away. I cant physically drag my children to school as that would cause all kinds of problems but its ok for the kids to punch scream and trash my house and for me to pay the fines. I have been on anti depressents but only stayed on them a month as in my head "i had nothing to be depressed about" and I could kick myself back into being normal. I dont do conflict very well as I had a 15 year abusive marriage and the traits of their father seems to of rubbed off onto the kids. I hate mornings especially Mondays and would love to just crawl back into bed. Ah well at least eldest goes to college no problem.
My house is a sh1thole again so need to do a thorough blitz. At least I can take my peed off bad mood out on the bathroom. It will be all sparkly and clean by the time ive finished!! Landylady still hasnt sent an electrician round for the shower and thats peeing e off as well. Hohum Shake yourself out of it LiT lifes alot better than it used to beSealed Pot Challenge member #982
