Did a little bit of checking and realised I needed to update my signature a little. This really is a case of a £1 can go a long way.

Not much on today, DD2 is out with a friend and DD1 is taking it easy before a party later, and I'm going to...well, not sure. Probably housework and maybe read a book or 6.

I have realised that one of my downfalls is charity shop books and so I am going to see if I can last till the end of Feb without buying anything, if I'm honest it's all books 2nd hand or otherwise.

So, coffee, browse the forums, a little house work and maybe sort out the books I need to read.

One set of washing hung outside, well towels at least. Heating on for 1 hr to dry school shirts.

Stuff out to make bread again, need to actually get downstaris and make it.

Must hoover downstars and put the rubbish out.
    Must make PAD of £1.

ah and flea drops for cat......problem 1 catch the cat.

PAD of £11 for today, have done some figures and looks like I will have another debt paid off by March and then another by May and yet a 3rd by August.

Ideally I will get everything paid off by the end of the year but thats hoping.

So many things have changed round here since I was last on.
    1) lost job
    2) started own business
    3) signed with every temp agency going to try and get some money

All debts now counted and shall be pushed as hard as I can to get rid of them.

On the plus side my car has mot & is looking good for new year after exploding beginning of dec.

mmmm, just worked out I can definately clear £3k by the end of the year on just the basics, and that's all I can really afford as I'm not working.

If I get temp work I am hoping to pay up to half of that salary into the debt side of things to hopefully get rid of some other stuff.

It's a long hard struggle just like everyone else is having but I need to do this. I know I can clear more if I snowball carefully.
Right now I just need to throw everything into setting this business up, and also getting temp work.

One of those days where I just felt like curling up and blotting out the world.

Am fed up of the fact I am in debt,I need to deal with it but am really fed up. I am trying to get this bussiness off the ground while having to look for full time work to pay the bills which really isn't helping. I don't want to wait for 11 years or more to be debt free:mad:.
Is it possible to clear 13K in a year??????

Had a NSD today and will have one tmw as well as just have housework planned, and maybe even one for Sunday. am hoping to make a small PAD later.

Maybe coffee and cake might help?:D

ok, just done a snowball calculator and paying £100 per month (assuming I had that spare at the moment....and I will as soon as I have money coming in) means I pay everything off August 2022:eek::eek::eek::eek:

    I don't think so:mad:

  • Hi Catspaw

    Nice to see you back.

If you have just started a business and you have a low income you can claim Housing & Council Tax Benefit, also make sure that Tax Credits are aware of your estimated earnings as you would get more then you were when you were working.

Sorry if you are already getting these benefits.

    Hi EE,

I'm not claiming as yet. Have spoken to the council and am waiting for them to get back to me ( I did manage to speak to the Tax credits and that one at least is sorted.)

Need to chase council next week.

PAD of £1.30 = £1 to a debt and 30p to the change box as I found it on the floor (every little helps)

One CRB is back so at least I can get some work through 1 agency....it's really annoying that in many cases they aren't transferable:mad: and the fact that they're £44.

worked out that paying what I am, by May I will have another £20 to throw at a debt, August another £20 and Sept another £40 which will help.
Any work I get in from the agency a certain amount will go to the debt, but I realise this is more likely to be a PAD than a regular thing as I have no idea how much work I will get, and any money from the business has to go back into it for a while.

And so it's Sunday. Time for breakfast and a nice long run I think.
All I have to spend today is some money on the roast. Monday should be a NSD (petrol for work is in the budget so i'm not worried).
