Catspaw: This kittens got claws part 2

Welcome to the 2nd part of my battle to claw my way out of debt.

I realised that I dip in and out and maybe a shiney new part 2 of my diary would keep me on the striaght and narrow :o, mind you since I posted on my last one I have managed to clear £400 off my total.

Am having a final push this year to get rid of as much as possible......maybe even the whole lot......mmmmm that might be a tad ambitious.:D
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

And again I come slinking back hanging my head in shame. Not for the lack for DF wanna be but for my complete incompetance of keeping up with anything online or even technical.
But I do have a few excuses:o ish

Looks like the 'new' relationship is on the way downhill.Various reasons which at somepoint I will go into but an not in the mood to whinge......much tonight.

So, my main reason is not having as much access to the internet as I would like, and when I do, finding I am working from home when I am on here late intoi the night when I could be on here!

Where am I in the debt free stakes?
    1) my car exploded.....and I do mean exploded with flames from the engine explode. So I had to pull as mcuh cash together to get a 'new'one (all £300 of it) as I can't get to work by public transport.

I am almost back to square 1. There are 'debts' arriving from my old flat that I left...debts from when I didn't live there but the landlord wants to pin on me....this is the landlord who applied for eviction proceedings saying I was always 4 weeks in arrears with the rent every month....yet he knew I was getting paid by the council. He is trying to claim 3 months worth of bills for after I moved out.

And now I need to still pay off the debts and raise an extra £2K if I need to move (for bond and rent)

but that's how it stands and that's what I have to work with, so I need to deal with it.
My plan???????Lots of coffee and maybe the odd moan and maybe even a cake or 2 (to offset all the training I do....at least that's my excuse:D)
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

    Hi catspaw

I'm sorry things are not so good for you. I will try to find your old diary and have a read.

With regard to sorting out the bills from your last place, you need to check the final bills and if the dates are wrong then you need to write to the companies and get this changed, explain what your landlord was like (I have just done this for a client of mine).

I assume you got meter readings for the utility bills.

Although your landlord served you notice did you leave before the notice period, Section 8 is rent in arrears and persistently late with rent which usually gives 2 months notice to leave. If you left before this time you should have given the landlord notice - usually 1 months notice is required - if you did not you are in breach of tenancy which might be why your landlord is trying to charge you 3 months.

If the elec company try to bill you for extra it should not matter too much as if you were not there as no elec would have been used.

I know that what your landlord did was awful for you but I think you need to try and move on as there is nothing you can do to change things now - just thank the world that you are out of there!!!

Maybe you could post a SOA so we can help with outgoings/incomings?

    Hi EE,

    Am definately moving on!

I left on the required date as I knew there would be problems otherwise. At the moment I am looking for all the readings that I noted and matching them with bills.
m new soa will definately be forthcoming as soon as I have the upto date bills for the old place.....that doesn't actually make much sence does it:rotfl:

Good day today though: up for a run at 5am, managed tyo get 2 washes done, make kids lunches and clean the kitchen and bathroon before I left for work.

Only downside is that Vancquis are refusing to give me a current balance....how can I pay if I have no idea what I owe? or is that a bit simplistic

    And I'm back again.
Nearly have my SOA worked out and am slowwly getting there on the debt front (though must remeber to update my signature).
Now work has settled down and I have a good idea of what is coming in I can prioritize my debts

    1) the barclays one: that's on going, I am currently on £100 a month but am going to push that to £150 from August

    2) the car fine no.1: has to be paid off in next 4 weeks....fine I have the last of my tax credits coming in to pay that

I am planning to eat at work 1 day a week and the rest of the time take packed lunches, I'm usually pretty good but if I ma out of the office it tends to slip.
Made a good start to the day after yesterdays anyphlactic drugs wore off....woke up at 0530 bright and cheerful, fed the cat, decided not to go for a run but did a pile of ironing instead.

good luck with the debt busting and sorting the old flat out. Is it worth consulting with the CAB on where you stand?

    Hi Chev,

I hadn't actually thought of that, am not even sure if we have one here, but I will take a look.
Not bad going today, PAd of £25 nothing much else to report but am going to see how many NSD I can make this month.
I do know that I will have 1 debt cleared by the end of the month which means I can then use the money for another and start snowballing :j

Have just made a PAD of £10, so need to update my signature.

Terrible evening yesterday afetr work, not the best day in work either but that's the way it goes in sales. Anyway, to cut a long story short (as one of my colleagues always says....at least every call) problems with my OH and I ended up spending roughly 4 hours last night in tears:mad:, not something I appreciate and it's something that is driving me up the wall.
But, up at 0500 today for a nice 5 mile run in the early sun (with the rabbits and foxes ) and I had something of an extra LB moment. I now kno whtta I can't afford to take this debt thing slowly if my relationship is going down the chute, I need to pick up my mse and pAds and sprint like holy hell to the finihs line........bit awkward as I'm a marathon runner not a sprinter lol.

So, Pad today and a large one tomorrow. I have upped my Loan payment by £50 a month and will again as soon as I have another debt clear.
Plan for July is to clear both car fines and my Sky bill.
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

PAD of £110 today which is clearing fine 1 very quickly.

Today was pretty good, managed to get roughly 3/4 of my work to-do list done by the time I left for a half day ( mind you its taken me nearly a month to get it down to this level), and then a half day. Lunch in peace the DD1 came home and off for her presentation.

DD1 had eneterd a writing competition and received a letter saying she was in the top 5 for her age group in the county......so off we go this afternoon for the presentation......she came first:T:T cue a very happy DD1 who won £50 of book tokens (spent very quickly) and also a huge box of books for her class.:T

Things seem to be getting on track ish:o though I feel like each time I say it things go swiftly down hill so maybe I should stop tempting fate.

Looks like the car fine will be paid off by 20th this month, which then allows me to concentrate on sky and then the CC and hopefully by the end of the year start throwing everything I have at WF:mad::mad::mad:

I do know that I still have to sort out the bills from my old place but I am finding people are being extreamly unhelpful. I just know, that as soon as I have the normal stuff sorted I will get all updated bills and almost be back to where I started.

Didn't have a good day yesterday either. Went training after work, usual finish time of 2100 and I get home on a good day at 2130....note I sy a good day.
It was piddling down yeterday and so I drove home quite slowly as I didn't really want to crash the car (too much expence) to find OH throwing a right hissy fit because I came in an extra 15 mins late:mad:

I stropped for 1/2 hour saying that I had to let him know if I was going to the pub as it wasn't fair that he wasn't going???? When I pointed out the visibility was terrible his answer was that 'it's not raining like that here so I don't belive you':mad::mad::mad:

mmmmm I am not happy at all. He tends to take please sure in bullying me till I cry or amit that I am wrong and useless and its all my fault even if it isn't (now I'm good, but not even I can make it rain!)

just found your new diary catspaw, i'd missed you.
sorry to hear your OH is being so horrible to you, you are certainly much better than that. You've probably got the right idea paying off as much as you can as quickly as possible if it's going like that for you at the moment.
I know it's demoralising to think you'll be back where you started when the old bills come through, but in reality you will be in a much better position than if you'd not being paying back so much in the meantime. It's just annoying that the landlord is being so horrible about the whole thing.

Hi LT, could do with a virtual cake and virtual sit in you allotment, it alawys made things better when I could go to mine.

I will have 3 debts sorted by sept which are really bugging me and by then evryone else will have got their act together so that I can finally finally have a perfect:D picture of what I owe. I will get all this sorted asap.
Would love to get to the point where next year is all about WF and finally geeting there but we shall see.

Had a pain in the backside of a Saturday where I wanted to strangle my OH, and not too much better yesterday....but the agaian DD1 enjoyed the photoshoot she ddi.
