glad you had a good time in Wales, bit naff about the car blowing up but at least it was on the way home and not on the way there.

i'm with you, i'd always try and overestimate my debts then it can only get better and it'll be a nice surprise when you're able to button them down and find that they're lower.

Would be good to see it all coming down, and might take idea of naming it as it might make me work harder.
I thought I was doing well until I had to add in over £4K from my ex landlord. Its taken me nearly 6 months to get a straight answer and to argue that the bond isn't something he can count lol.

Any way plan for today is massive amounts of housework as my sis and her OH and tiny kitten are arriving tomorrow: all I need to worry about is that my recycled cat won't eat her kitten:D

Am hoping at some pouint this week the tax credit people will get of their backside and work out what i am getting. I know it will be changing again in Sept but I can al least start to factor that in.

    so list
    1) washing on and hope to dry
    2) hoover
    3) iron
    4) dust

mmmm make that 1) coffee and then the others

    5) move vast amoutns of windfall apples to compost that came when we were away
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D

On here twice in one day, must be a record:D

anyway, seem to have got through a lot of my list apart from the hovering and thought I'd take a break.

Have been thinking of a name for my debt and then all I need to do is work out how long it's going to take to pay off lol.

Think I will call it Patrick, after an ex that took me far far too long to get rid of:D

lol love the name for your debt, mine i think will be called Mildred. I find you can get personal with them when they have names and it makes it easier to pay them off or battle against them.
well done for ticking some boxes today, unfortunately i didn't manage any housework on my list

oh the wonders of housework lol

Mine has been sorely neglected for a week as my sister and her OH (and tiny kitten) have been visiting

OH has been pretty good apart from one strop.

The debt is worrying me but not as much as I thought it would, I now know everything that is outstanding and have taken steps to sort it £500 will be claered by the end of Nov and then those payments will start going towards something else.

Have come down on myself like a tonne of bricks to challenge for a whole week of NSD's to then put that money towrads it. If I don't I'll be paying it of for the next 8-109 years and I really really don't wnat to do that.
Working things out the £150 I pay toards my Barc loan will clear it by July next year 6 months early ( I am over paying). I would like to get it cleared earlier but do have other prioirty debts first. I might, depends on what the ex landlord says...I have a payment plan for him, once I clear the bank loan I want to add an extra half of that to the landlords debt and the other half to somehting else.....but we shall see what he says.

    Payment today of £20.
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

great plans, you'll soon be clearing your debts. Well done for the payment today.

I'm also planning on stopping spending money, i'm hoping for months and months of NSD's so i can save as much as possible.

Have a little extra money this week so it will go on the debts and hope to pay off £40 tmw, will check in the morning, and then should have another £200 paid by the end of the month.

Tax credits will be stopping/dropping off soon so am making the most of them to clear as much as I can.

This week has been a lot of hassle in work and me no in the office much but that's the way it goes.
DD2 has been in summer school all week to help with her transition to high school and DD1 has been behaving, which is always nice:D no teenage strops lol.

OH on the other hand isn't behaving. He has now decided that I was the clothes too much and that he will go round and empty the washing baskets to decide if things are clean or not. I am not to do any washing until HE has decided if it is dirty....... needless to say I'm not what can be called a happy bunny.

Am already looking at the christmas budget (oh dera how sad is that:D)

Anyway only a very quick post as have had to bring lots and lots of work home

I know I've been away for a few days but things haven't quite been right and I need to get my head sorted.

OH hit DD1. Smacked her with a shoe about 5 times she said, all he said to me was he smacked her once.....her crime? having a friend over with out asking:mad: usually if she does this she gets grounded, but he decided she deserved a smack.

My head is spinning, what with his not letting them have friends round as kids make a mess, the him deciding what's clean enough, and him nagging about the money to move us somewhere else.....its a case of hew knows what I earn, and I have to put all the money apart from petrol which leaves me with nothing, where he still gets between £500-£1500 depending on the overtime, on top of his petrol money.

I don't know what to think right now:mad:

oh catspaw sending you hugs and lots of them. I know what my opinion is but all that matters is what you have to do for your and DD's.

If you want to know my opinion, which you are more than welcome to ignore... you need to tell him to sod off! YOU decide what you can afford to put into the joint account, you have children to sort out and your debts to pay. TBH i also think you need to get shut of him if he's now at the stage he's at. He's never going to change and what he's doing is very unreasonable.

I hope i haven't been too blunt, feel free to ignore my comments, pm me if you want someone to talk to, but more than anything i'm sending you hugs.
