Takes me all the time to run a tap;)
Had a very spendy morning I am afraid:(
Went to Focus and had to buy a tin of paint and also bought some masonry paint because I can see the holes that have been filled since we had the cavity wall done and it has been driving me nuts:p so total spend in there £19.98 which included the 40% discount_pale_
popped next door to l*dl as I have never shopped there much (maybe twice for a pint of milk) and was quite surprised by some of the things being a lot cheaper than MrT:T there was £5 off a £30 spend voucher in one of the leaflets so got what I needed and stocked up on cat food. I even struggled with just one bag as did not want to spend the 3p :rotfl:
DH was spendy today. He bought me one of those emergency ladders you can hang from the window. I have always had a problem with fires as I have seen three house fires in my time where the family has had to jump out of the window. I am quite a worrier and this is £22 spent for piece of mind but now I have one I think I may be being a little silly but I do feel better for having one in the house. Tonight I plan on showing everyone where it is and how to use it and where the emergency power cut bag, torches etc are placed round the house. So tonight is make the family paranoid night!!
I have got mounds of ironing after all the washing I have done over the past couple of days so I am off to find a couple of films and crack on with it...........never as bad once I have started but it is the getting started I have a problem with:rotfl:0 -

Thanks Cheryl that makes me feel soooooooooo much better!
When I had the solar panels done they put the scaffold in front of the back two windows and I could not sleep properly until it was taken down:eek:
I am starting to think with my paranoid and money saving ways I will not have any friends left!0 -
Ended up being spendy after all last night - went on the H and M online sale and stocked up on reduced nicknoks, tights and over the knee socks for the girl. Saved over thirty quid so not too bad.
And then I bought us some bras form the House of Fraser ebay outlet which are much needed and they were so much cheaper - so I hope they fit although they can be returned.
Not long been up - really struggling today but about to go for a swim after a hot drink. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Goodness paidinchickens what bad luck with the house fires!
We had a kitchen fire when I was a teenager but managed to get it under control. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.

I don't think I worded it very well lol
I have seen three fires down streets I have lived on. Where the families living in the houses had to jump out of the windows.
Not my family thank goodness ............don't think that or I will start making the kids sleep in fire blankets:rotfl: ummmmmmmm come to think of it0 -
I sold the old android phone :j :j :j = £95 extra to me
(after fees etc).....yay....
So that'll be padded (payment a day - it's on DfW under debt free diaries and really lovely ppls - even if you just pad 50p a day that's over £150 a year you wouldn't have otherwise put on debt)......a wee bit to savings for big hols and a wee bit on poor OD that's had such a bashing of late

Hello fellow frugallers:j
A few spends incurred here at Gnat Bottomed Towers but mainly of the filling the gift box variety courtesy of £land:D Have also done the weekly shop and am now getting so squeaky that I took a pizza back to the fridge because they had ones on offer in the frozen dept for 40p less:rotfl::rotfl:Even the cat has to be frugal- she had to wait for her cat food top up until this week so I could use the 200 extra points voucher:D
I've ventured into my first tiny moneysaving venture and have joined 3 survey sites. The first one I completed was on toilet paper...ooh the glamour of my life:D
