SF thanks for taking on the thread! Hope the job hunting proves successful soon and to Aril as well

Erme - congrats on the phone sale, that's fantastic & on the no smoking!

I really must get around to listing some stuff as trying to clear out some clutter in case the house move happens:( - there's been quite a few free listing weekends recently so hope more are to come!

    Kitchenbunny - welcome!

Paidinchickens I don't think you can ever be too paranoid about fire, I've got a really thick rope wrapped around my bed leg ready to put out the window (there was a fire in my street about a month ago and someone died).

I'm taking this year off them, luckily I don't fancy women so at least I can interact with at least 50% of the population without going dolally :rotfl:

I'm still decluttering, even though I have been looking for a house since last October and there is still nothing coming up, I live in hope though and as long as I move out of the city before my son gets to secondary age it is ok - that gives me 3 years so something should come up. Decluttering is a lifestyle though!

Not been around for a few weeks so Hi to everyone

Paidinchickens - I think you are being very sensible & I certainly dont think you are paranoid - well done
Cheryl & Erme - Congrats too
Tumpty & Rising - You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find the Prince!

Saw the comments on toe post sandals - I'm afraid I think they're as bad a thongs - can't get on with either (Cheese cutters both ends!!)

Been really busy as DH is in the process of knocking a big hole in the sitting room wall to put the wood burner in. We cleared the room out & my elderly but still usable carpet went on Freecycle. The settee's are stacked on top of each other, I've no carpet, curtains, furniture (but he's managed to keep the TV there!!) & we're using an old camping gas fire if we need any heat in the evening. The whole house seems to be covered in dust - but my granny always said nobody died of dust! We've had the first inspection from the local building control - all OK so far. I'm lucky to have a handy hubby though 'cos I reckon he's saved us about 2k - 'spose I better treat him (when he's finished!)

I'll be lurking for a little while so keep up all the good work ladies (and gents?)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

It's on one of my buttons on safari so easy for me to find...am honoured to have a smiley....Am bribing the PADders on the payment a day thread with nice smilies....I'm hoping we reach 30K paid over various days this month extra or regular on our debts by tonight collectively...:D

In answer to your question just over £150 a year (well actually about £180)...:)

Erme - congrats on the phone sale, that's fantastic & on the no smoking!

Even if you can't get a free listing listings of 99p and under are (or were) free...so if you know it's going to go for a good price list @ 99p....However technology is better listed as Buy it now (think old laptops/phones etc) as the auction final value fees over £100 can be quite a lot never mind your postage. I think my final value fee for the phone was less than £4..yet for the kindle was about £7 I think? cos like it was on auction first....

So yeah just going for a nap....so tired...still off the cigs - never thought this was possible but I just don't want to stink of cigs anymore :T.....

and I have half a tonne of junk to clear out and sell on eBay LOL

It's what I shall do tomorrow

    E
PS. Can't wait for my free exercise class tomorrow :)..but on the question of gyms when I get to 8 weeks...mega cheap? (think £15 a month and basic facilities, no contract) or like semi pricey but really good facilities (£33 a month with £35 joining fee)...or no gym...what's folks views? I used to spend £35 per week on cigs at my worst so think I can justify it or maybe not...would appreciate feedback...or do I just go running (free) and cycling?

Erme I absolutely hate the gym - so I was walking everyday until I had my foot injury and started out door swimming just before Christmas which I love.

If you enjoy it and will definitely go fine but my daughter has monthly membership and definitely isn't making the most of it, she would be better of with pay as you go I think.

Both points I am considering...I mean if I'd make good use of it it's worth it...hence I'm thinking if I do go for it to go for the no frills option as that has no contract just to try it out...then if I've not used it for 6 weeks I can just cancel..

And have done C25K before (7.30am starts) and loved it only I was a smoker then so it was pretty hard and i was pretty slow :(.....so that I'd consider....Have it on my MP3 still :j..

and there's a local nationwide thingy called 'jogscotland' I can join that's even cheaper than the gym (about £1-2 a session) which would be good if I want to be social.....

I think c25k after 1 month of no cigs is A MUST....

But still looking forward to the free class tomorrow
