I mean I got some gorgeous floral doc martens from eBay the other week and they rub on the ankle - but this is a common problem with me and DM's and like I know they just need an insole and they'll be fine...0 -
Morning peeps!
I have the day to myself today. I do not HAVE to go anywhere, babysit, fetch anything, take someone somewhere........nothing:j
Now I just don't know what to do. I am trying not to go out for long periods of time as the mogs is due anytime:T she keeps laying down in the strangest of places, the back door mat being her fav which is quite amusing when you watch people try to climb over her!!! hopefully she will have them before hubby goes away at the end of the month:(
Doing well with the not buying freezer food until everything has been used up and think we will have a mini BBQ later (hot dogs and whoopsie rolls) to use up some of the five bags of sausages I've been hoarding :rotfl::rotfl::whistle:
I need to make a start on DH car insurance as it renews in a month but the weather is lovely so I feel a potter in the garden coming on;)0 -

what are peoples thoughts on extension leads with individual switches on them? I always turn off at the plugs before bed and when we are finished etc but now we have somethings that need to be on all the time and other we want to turn off. Rather than keep unplugging etc i wondered if the switches would save money or does it still use more?
Out of interest Minnie, what is it that you need to have on all of the time?DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Hello fellow frugallers:j
Welcome to Cutiepie- the more the merrier!
Unfortunately I have been given my redundancy letter today- makes it feel real so am a bittoday. However, onwards and upwards. Enjoyed a few small frugal successes at Gnat Bottomed Towers yesterday- wrapped my sister's birthday present in some calendar pages [paintings of cats] rather than wrapping paper, found £1 and a 5p on the pavement and cut open my toothpaste to ensure that I get every last little bit out:D Tonight I am going to be finishing off some hankies I've made from an old pillowcase aswell as sitting down with OH whilst the small person is out to make some frugal plans.

Hi yum Tumpty I am taking them straight back in a minute I have some hush puppy toe posts that I was living in but they are getting a bit whiffy so I need to give them a clean - they have given me no problems I actually have cuts on my feet from five minutes of those torturous things. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
