Good morning all , its overcast but windy today, just like yesterday, so am washing towels this morning they will definately dry in this wind. Does anyone have any idea how to get bright orange highliter pen off a pink and cream duvet cover.DD was doing homework on her bed last night instead of at the table and left the lid of the highliter leaving a mark about the size of a saucer. She didnt tell me till this morning so its had time to dry.:mad:. Still feeling under the weather, still itching like mad but resisting the temptation to scratch the spots, wore my daughters silky gloves to bed last night;).And the whole of my side hurts like mad , like when you have been coughing to much.
Dinner tonight is sweet and sour turkey , and eves pudding for afters with vanilla icecream.
Woofer is snoring after son took him on his paper round again this morning., lazy day today, might spend the day curled up on the sofa watching Prison Break again ;)Yep thats my day sorted.
Have a good day all, hope you all manage to escape any april fools stunts:eek:

Loulou - is there any chance your son has a food intolerence? My brother suffered really badly from an upset stomache when he was little, it went on for months. The doctors kept on telling her it was a bug/virus and to give him milky food to settle his tummy. Only problem was we eventually discovered it was cows milk that was causing the problem. We switched him to goats milk and he was better within a few days. My friends son has a combined problem with milk and gluten so has to have a very careful diet.

It's a horrible rainy day here, so no gardening today. I'm just off to do some work on the old house. Tea tonight is a very un OS frozen pizza :o I've joined the flylady thread in the hope that I might be able to keep on top of the housework, the trouble is we need to finish renovating our old house so we can put it on the market and there are just not enough hours in the day!

HUGS to all that need them

Big hugs to you Loulou.DS went through a short phase of being lactose intolerant + other food allergies after a couple of tummy bugs when he was 7 or 8. His stomach lining was upset for a while but it settled down. Re the 'bug' - I spent an awful time at the weekend with a diarrhoea bug - the stomach pains were awful - I had to have a cold wet towel round my neck for the sweats. I really feel for any little one who has those awful pains. It's so exhausting.

    Hi

Have not posted this week as I have have have been ill. Sore throat with really achy body like I have the flu but dont.

So I am on day 4 of my fortnight off and I haven't done a thing but I am feeling a bit better today so going to tackle the hell hole that is our house.

I'm afraid my Low GI diet hasn't been started because i've been too ill to even think about it but my book is here and I have a fair idea what to eat and what not.

I've had my lunch and have got about an hour before I get the kids from school (they finish early today for 2 weeks off)
    • TD to be loaded with wet washing (to wet to dry outside)
    • put another load in the WM
    • do the dishes
    • clean the surfaces
    • strip the 3 YS chickens I cooked on Wed night and freeze
    • Sort through my cupboards
    • And Bake as OH and kids are not happy that the cake tins are empty, DS keeps asking for one of mummy's yummy hobnobs (twinks) :rotfl:
I'll post back later and see how much I got done.
