Looks like we have two threads on the go, is it an April Fool:eek:
Morning All,
Quick tidy around this morning as proper clean will be done tomorrow morning. Need to empty the washing basket so that there are only school clothes and work clothes to do over the weekend.
Last nights tea was Hairy Bikers sausage casserole, which I am told was delish.
Not sure about tonights meal, need to have a mooch in the freezer. Will try and do another 40 min walk today but DH has lost my headphones so I find it difficult without music, have ordered some so hope they arrive soon.
Had a bit of a snacky day yesterday so going to do better today:cool:
Should be a nice quiet wkend. I tried to tax the car on line last night and realised that the mot had run out:o totally hadn't realised so DH will get the car ready to go in early next wk. Hope to finish the spare room this wkend and move onto a couple of jobs in the bathroom.
Well enough waffle, time for a cuppa
PS Julie I am reading Savour the Moment, the cakes sound delish:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

            Morning :hello:
Mr tru's job finished yesterday. Owner tried to get out of paying the managers their remaining holiday pay  He didn't try it with the other staff though?? Bit rich, considering he kept asking them to put off their holidays - "I neeeeeeeeeeeed you, we're so busy". The three of them kicked up a stink, we had the extra £861 paid into our bank account yesterday. £861 - did he really think we weren't going to notice THAT amount of money unpaid? The owner pocketed a few million from the sale of everything, mean old !!!!!!. Mr Maskrey, enjoy your retirement. I hope you get all you deserve.
Mr tru starts his new job on 11th April, so we have a bit of time to do whatever we like
We're going to put the new fence up for the chickens (the posts have been soaking in timber treatment for a week) and sort out the veg patch and greenhouses, we're behind with planting this year. We still have a few bits to do in the kitchen, paint the window sill, etc. Hopefully we'll manage a couple of days out too.
Well, must get dressed. Need to get chicken food, human food and some baskets.Bulletproof0 -
            Morning all
In bed with the lappie and a cuppa. No work today and no plans yet as DD went to Brussels yesterday to visit her friend for the weekend. I need to do some housework today but weather doesn't look good for drying washing. I will wash the floors anyway and vacuum round.
Dollycat is sitting in my bedroom window looking out so I guess it's started raining again.....
I may have another cuppa before I get up.
Hugs to all.

Morning all back again for a 2nd day

Snoozer sorry to hear about your dad (((Hugs)))
Lou hope DS is still getting better slowly(It;s so tiring I know)
Well today already have the stew in the slow cooker as I forgot about it before I went out yesterday:o Off to take DS to school, home to tackle as much housework as I can squeeze in in an hour and then off to meet 2 friends for lunch, they're also taking another friend who's just moved to the area so another new friendship to be made:D. My 2 friends are americans and they are always asking me questions about our ways and how things work here so will no doubt have fun answering some more
Earlt night I feel as I didn;t sleep great and was awake for half the night:mad:
Hugs to anyone who needs and wants them and will catch up again later

Right girlies a quick straw poll. It was Africa day at school yesterday and DC2's class did Kenya. My parents spent some time in Kenya and Mum gave me a carved wooden bowl, some books ans photo's of the masai warriors, masai village, children in school and in the village. The workers co-operative where they made wooden stuff and various animals. I sent it in with him yesterday and he was very excited that he had some things that he could show people and his Nanny had been to Africa.
When I picked him up yesterday he hadn't been given the oppurtunity toshow anyone. He was very upset and bewildered that he hadn't shown anyone. The teacher wasn't anywhere and the TA just ignored the fact I was waiting at the door for her to finish and wanted to talk to someone and she went off and didn't acknowledge me. DS feels he has done something wrong.
I wanted to send him in this morning witht he stuff and a letter saying he was upset and could the teacher or TA spend 5 minutes, just listen to him talk about what he had bought as I felt that would make him feel better. But FIL who was taking them to school today felt that was not the way to go about it so I have the items at home still.
Should I ring the school and talk to his teacher and ask her if there was any reasonhe did not get to show his stuff and could he bring it in on Monday to show her or the TA. Or do I just leave it?
We think DS is on the spectrum so he has some issues there.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Personally I would have told FIL it was my child, so my decision
I would call the school Tigerfeet, he's your boy, a wee red face for you seeming like an overprotective parent is worth it if it makes your boy happy, maybe they just ran out of time yesterday and the teacher would be happy to do it for him, especially if they know about your concerns for him
Morning All,
Had a really busy week, I have my volunteering job this morning, it was cancelled last week as they had a burst pipe - can't escape from burst pipes, have them every day in my real job, and now there too
Food will be whatever I can be bothered cooking. I am off to Aldi to treat myself to some plants for mother's day, told the OH not to buy me anything, but to get the boys to make me a card
Hope all the poorly children get better soon, and the grown ups too.
Hugs spoons and hi fives for all.

Tigerfeet I would give them a call before class so that they can do something about it. Like Jackie said maybe they just ran out of time but if it's an issue for your boy which can be rectified very easily then they should do it

            Morning all
TF would deffo speakto the teacher and say you felt the TA had deliberatly ignored you at the door
Will get on with the ironing in a bit not a lot going on today Ziggy is having his stitches out and tea is egg on toast
Have a good day0 -
