I really like Flakeaway too - though clearly not quite as much as The Breakfast Scrubminerva_windsong wrote: »I was obviously a deeply uncool teenager then, because I lived in jeans and slogan T shirts and trainers (well I still do to be quite honest) and never went out anywhere. It wouldn't have even occured to me to buy a short skirt or a tight top that showed lots of cleavage because I really didn't like my body when I was that age and thought I was nowhere near pretty enough to wear any of that stuff. I am a bit better about it now and own a fair few skirts and dresses, including some quite short ones, but I still generally wouldn't wear anything like that in my everyday life.
Same here, in fact I only recently bought a dress that comes to above the knee, and I'm a bit scared to wear it!
I sympathise with all you parents having issues with your teens - I bet they'll look back and wonder, "What was I thinking?" but until then you have to take the flak!I hope the steps at the funny farm are warm :rotfl: :rotfl:
I don't think the funny farm has steps, I reckon we're exempt
Charlie, I hope you're feeling a bit better. Things don't sound good, do you reckon it would help if you could maybe stay somewhere else for a few days and give you both a chance to get some space?

Phew!:rotfl:
Charlie, after reading your other thread (which I won't post on because you've got loads of good advise) I just want to send you a massive hug and stay strong vibes. I think you know in your heart what you need to do and I hope you know that we're all here (oldies and us newbies too!) to help you through it. Big hugs hun xxxxx:j0 -
Sarah - my DH uses neutrogena wash/mask, he only uses it as a wash, he also uses my cast off face scrubs and loves them. He likes S&G after shave balm too, Eau d man or something, but he will buy whatever is on offer of that sort of thing.
Cheers hun - will make it easier to get him into a routine if he knows other 'Fellas' use it and not just giving him my 'Girlie' stash :rotfl:
Charlie - I stand by what I said a couple of days ago - sounds like you could do with a break
Kaz - The new 'do sounds fab! I like KK's new hair too :T Apologies if I came over a bit 'scaremonger-y' with my DD tales early - I got carried away a bitI've never met a child - in fact anyone - as obnoxious as my DD and she gets my goat sometimes
I'm away into town tomorrow for lunch with my BFFI will keep repeating to myself 'I do not need to go to Boots/BS/SD' :rotfl: Thankfully the BS Sale ended today - but if it's gone to BOGOF I will not be held responsible for my actions :rotfl:
I do need to buy a new letterbox though - postman tried to push something too big through it and ripped the inside brushy bits off - and now the dog keeps going mad when the wind rattles the flap

Ooops,I knew I wouldn't be buying it so had skimmed the reviews, oh well.
I have very fine hair and it seemed a good idea, mind you so was the original Pantene until you discovered the adult equivalent of cradle-cap on your scalp  .. ah nostalgia....Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
I have to say that Pantene really doesn't suit my hair at all - it tends to make it knot and tangle even worse than it does anyway!
Charlie hugs to you - have just read your other thread. Only you can know if what they are telling you is correct, but if you have even the slightest feeling that it is, then their advice to get out is probably pretty sound. Would you do us a favour please and just check in quickly here in the morning even if just to say hi, so that we know you're OK? One thing - do you think there is a chance that your OH is suffering from some kind of depression? It does seem possible that he is projecting negative feelings about himself onto you and your relationship....?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I like pantene. I have really thick hair and it makes it quite soft and manageable. For about a month, then it seems to go minging. I agree about the aqua shi7e
It gave my gran, who has really dry hair due to years and years of heat styling, greasy heavy hair  Not nice!
The worst shampoo i've found is herbal essences! It makes my hair fall out  !!!:j0 -
Another UU: Mitchum Roll On Deoderant (stick).
WIBA? It's a HG product as I work in a blummin' hot place!
I also threw away some annoying sample today. Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi everyone
Kaz - the new hairstyle looks great
Charlie - your OH has a problem and he really needs to talk about it - can you go to counselling or will he talk with you? I agree with others that you need a break, his behaviour is sadly unacceptable and a form of abuse. I know I may seem harsh but you do not deserve this. And I know it isn't really my business but having had an ex who behaved badly - it wears you down. All the best x
No UU yet but a few splutterers.
 Whoops - some ins - popped in to Boots, but went half an hour before it closed, so I didn't have time to browse.
Really needed a mascara and having tried cheaper ones which didn't work as well, returned to an old favourite EL one.
However  also got 2 for £7.50 of JF sculpt and hairspray. Don't usually wear either but have got quite frizzy hair especially when it is rainy or humid.
Also had my hair done today - and a colour, I worked an extra shift on Saturday so treated myself. They had Moroccan oil - and as it has good reviews thought I might give it a whirl too
So off to the naughty step for nowThat will be all for April !!!!!!!

Going to get one of those money saving pots where you have to open the tin , and start the 1pound a item thing then save up for ghds!!:j:j
GHDs are a good motivator to keep putting money away. I am on the sealled pot challange since Dec and reckon I have about £120 in it alreadycharlie-have a lie down and I hope you feel better soon:)
another UU :j(I don't think I will have any more for a while though:()
softlips-WIBA? maybe, really good for my lips but the stick doesn't last long so works out too expensive.
counted my UU/OUT and it has come to about 80:T including give and make up parcels, charity shop things etc. as well and actual product UU. Have roughly 90 things left though...:(
:T Well done adilade - you have used up 47% of your stash - must be some feeling (I can only imagine)
Sorry about my whinge and moan earlier. We love DD to pieces but boy is she hard work. Poor old DS is no trouble but she turns everything into a fightNever mind, once she's gone through puberty her ormones will be more under control
.
We went to the hairdressers today and both have swanky new cuts. The hairdresser got very scared when we both said- "All off!" and neither of us batted an eyelid when she hacked it all off. DD now has a short bob and I have http://www.metro.co.uk/lifestyle/858469-fearne-cotton-vs-kerry-katona-hair-do-or-don-t this new one that Kerry Katona has. I'm brunette though. I love it and my sister said I look 18 again. I've just answered the door to my neighbours little boy who said "Wow, you look AWESOME!" *Blush*
Kaz that is how my hair is too (I am blonde) - got in done in Nov when I went a bit crazied in work and needed to take control of something!! - I love it and it is so easy to style.
OhCharlie, I feel I can't add anymore except :grouphug: You have got some good advice already from the girls on here.
I have a UU to report that I wasn't expecting. My Jasper Conran Body lotion 200mls. Was part of a gift set but I WBA once I have UU a bit more of the lotions...I was going to the Armani Code Body Lotion next.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380
