Thanks for the hugs guys, they are sorely needed and definitely help
I may have said this before, but is it bad that I hope she's a total and utter cow?:(
I'd be hoping the same to be fair! Might be a bit naughty, but it's a horrid thing for you to have to go through and I think you wouldn't be human if you felt like that!! xx As an OT solution, I think you should have a proper pamper day and pull out all your very nicest things - then get your girlfriends together and have the best night out. xxOmg!!
Is it too late for me to join?? I have so much excess stuff I think I need a "Beauty Room"!
And I will continuously go out and buy more (much to my partners disgust!) without even thinking!! =[
xxx
I want a Beauty Room too!!!!! Sadly I don't think that's on my boyfriends list of priorities when we go flat hunting soon though :rotfl: ah well, hopefully by then I'll have gotten the stash down to more manageable levels!0 -
Ooh, and EH, I forgot, but have a lovely holiday! xx0

Hi everyone.
EH - have a good holiday
Alanis -hiya and welcome - this is a great thread - very supportive and if you can would love to see a list of those items in your "beauty room":D
Sawan - thinking of you and sending youfor the really tough time you are going through at the moment
Nothing to report on the toiletries front -can't seem to use stuff up that much, it is taking ages:(0 -
Hugs to Charlie and Sawan and Have a lovely holiday to EH.
I'm a Flake Away fan - and I didn't even try the breakfast scrub as I hated the smell - sold mine.
My shampoo/conditioner have arrived but as it's the first I've bought, apart from the S&G shampoo in the bag I got at Christmas, since September and have no more in stock I don't feel too bad about this.
Got a few more splutterers too atm - I may well soon have hardly any stash at all - eek!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

When aged 20 the love of my life boyfriend sent me a "dear John" letter after 2 years together (the reason for which I never did discover)I thought it was the end of the world....turned out it wasn't ....5 years down the line after another man called me up (again after 2 years) to say actually he was going to marry someone else(woman who I had treated as a friend after her husband killed himself!!!) I met DH........32 years and 3 sons later HE is the love of my life:j:j:j
men who treat you badly do not deserve you
back to toiletries, started to use Occitanne honey and lemon body cream, lovely smell and arms soft since this morning,WIBA .....probably if on offer or gwp once got through all other stuff in stash.

saw a 12 year old cat needing a home in local paper who had markings just like Bumble, but it said she needed a home alone and anywya not fair on Purdy to get another cat,she is still moping and does not like going out alone.

Well done you, what is your secret. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Hope you have a nice time EH and Rosemary
Are we still having the group pamper session tomorrow?:DToiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -
VALM - I did almost impulse/emotionally buy the Nails Inc TSV but I think we can all agree I probably have similar colours somewhere.
Well done sawan. Hope you find some resolution to your problems soon - hugs to you.
I have another UU today : a bottle of Elemis Lime and Ginger hand wash. WNBA: It's lovely but much prefer L'occitane Verbena. Have shopped in my stash and we are now using S&G hand wash which I got off my Secret Santa together with Hand Food (both came in a lovely metal holder).
Also shopped in there for a sugary/spicy body butter to go with my Breakfast scrub and Philosophy Pumpkin Spiced Muffin shower gel (this is gorgeous!). Opted for a small tub of Boots Fairtrade Extracts Brazil Nut body butter which is lush. I think these could be my new HG in body butters. Love the texture of them.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

*prays you're going for like... 1 day*:rotfl:
But thats it, i'm determined to do it so you can join us at the funny farm for eating your S&G:rotfl::j0 -
Sawan and Charlie - dodgy hugs for you both - hope you are both OK today
EH and Rosemary - Have fab holidays/breaksminerva_windsong wrote: »On the topic of ballistics, for those who don't like the 'bits' in some of them, I found it useful to get a pair of old/cheap tights, cut the foot off one of them, stick the ballistic in the foot and then tie it up tightly before you throw it in the bath. The colour still gets through the fibres but the bits stay in the foot.
Thats a fab idea - especially for the days I get 'first bath'and OH complains about all the bits :T
No IN's or UU's again for me today and I didn't get into town either - I'm all swollen and puffy like a 3-day old balloonand I had an Asthma attack at 2am so I feel like I've been beaten with a big stick
OH's adventures into skincare have been :rotfl: so far - trying to get him to use the face scrub was funny! He has a tiny bit of extra dry skin under his nose and was amazed at the fact the face scrub cleaned it up. He's slowly coming on board :T
off for a wander round the boards then back to bed .....0 -
Well done you, what is your secret.
Working full time somewhere there are no shops (well there is a costcutter and a blackwells!) and doing lots of volunteering and other things so I hardly have any time to go shopping.
This coupled with not checking the quick buy it now thread and the demise of the boots thread on here!
We used to go shopping quite often at weekends because we had nothing better to do so a mooch about the shops etc was a nice option and I loved picking up bargains from the Boots thread on here and would even sometimes go to the out of town shopping centre after work.
I run a Brownie and Guide group now, volunteer at local theatre and help run a music group. OH does lots at the theatre too and we can have weeks when we go straight from work to spend whole evenings at places and all weekends etc and then there is no time for shopping and now I have less stuff I appreciate the space I have!
I also have a better job now and earn a bit more, so whereas before bargain chasing was really important, and it still is now, I'd rather spend a bit more on a good deal of something I really want than buy lots of cheap things (same goes for clothes etc for me) and do a bit of saving too.
Since I joined this thread again at Christmas what it's helped me do is actually use things I've got PRCP in action!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
