    hey all

    2 x UU's today:

-travel size Molton Brown Thai Vert handwash - used as a showel gel! WIBA? smelt nice but MB is too expensive pour moi!
-travel size Biore Anti Shine Moisturiser - WIBA? maybe, when I run out/can't afford Clinique

No proper INs, but I did snag myself a fish pedicure plus 45min indian head massage or body massage for just £12 via Groupon :D Will save this to use end of May once all my uni work is handed in :) I've had a fish pedi in the spa before and loved it.

Working full time somewhere there are no shops (well there is a costcutter and a blackwells!) and doing lots of volunteering and other things so I hardly have any time to go shopping.

This coupled with not checking the quick buy it now thread and the demise of the boots thread on here!

We used to go shopping quite often at weekends because we had nothing better to do so a mooch about the shops etc was a nice option and I loved picking up bargains from the Boots thread on here and would even sometimes go to the out of town shopping centre after work.

I run a Brownie and Guide group now, volunteer at local theatre and help run a music group. OH does lots at the theatre too and we can have weeks when we go straight from work to spend whole evenings at places and all weekends etc and then there is no time for shopping and now I have less stuff I appreciate the space I have!

I also have a better job now and earn a bit more, so whereas before bargain chasing was really important, and it still is now, I'd rather spend a bit more on a good deal of something I really want than buy lots of cheap things (same goes for clothes etc for me) and do a bit of saving too.

Since I joined this thread again at Christmas what it's helped me do is actually use things I've got PRCP in action!

Boredom is sometimes the problem for me, I work from home and whilst it's great, no travelling and my work gets dropped off and picked up, it gets lonely, so I nip to our local small town and have a wander and usually spend. When the weather gets better I won't do that as much, will spend more time gardening, dog walking etc.

I've just volunteered at DD's brownie group and the rainbows which is part of it too, hope I get quite a few evenings from that, will be fun.

Huge hugs to you Sawan, (and Charlie I hope you're ok). When you get hit by a shock like that Sawan, it's up there with being bereaved, in my book. Finally hearing that he had gone through with it was perhaps like a funeral, or hearing of a funeral, the ritual that makes it all too real.

None of us can say we know how you feel, because it is an experience so outside the norm. Wishing you a lot of strength and I truly hope you have someone safe to offer you real hugs and a sisterly shoulder.

I think it's very normal to hope that she's a total and utter cow, well at the moment, anyway.... Time does heal but sometimes it takes a lot of time...

I did feel like that. I wasn't sure if it was an over-reaction. When I was talking to a family friend whose husband passed away last month, and she was talking about how she missed the small things, like when she was brushing his teeth how she wouldn't see him brush his teeth again, I felt so much pain, because I knew how she felt :( I do feel like that though :( I just feel so much pain.

I don't even have words for how I feel. I know I keep feeling like I'm about to throw up but don't. Unfortunately, the earliest my best friend is around home is next week. I'll be seeing a couple of other friend's this weekend, but although I can vent, I just can't cry with them as freely, IYKWIM.

He asked me to elope with him last year. But I couldn't do that. My parents were going through enough stress. And they didn't deserve that. His parents (****** though they are) would never have forgiven him. I wasn't brought up like that to be selfish, though I wish I was!!

Thanks so much for all the support *hugs*

I hope she is a cow and it doesn't work. I feel guilty saying that, but nothing in comparison to how upset I am, so the guilt will pass I think :(

The hugest of huge hugs to Charlie and Sawan - what a horrible horrible situation for you both - agree with the others about everything - and Sawan , its completely normal to hope that shes a cow!!! And even if shes not, theres no way on the planet that shes going to be as lovely as you - you deserve someone who is free to love and cherish you. As do you Charlie - please take care and let us know you are ok...

Have a lovely holiday to EH.

Looked through my stash again - and I think the only things I have stashed particually now are the soaps, (not counting the lippys from the flake giveaway !!)

Well xoxo, I think EH will be hoping you do succumb! Save her eating her products!
EH I hope you have a lovely holiday.
    Charlie, I hope you're ok?
Sawan, bless you, I'd be hoping she was an ugly cow too but that's because I'm shallow!
Just sent DD up for a bath. She doesn't want to go and wash her hair because she's worried it'll grow back. Wally.
DH not in a good mood tonight. Now arguing with DS. DS just put his foot in it and upset him. Oh dear. Well we had a lovely afternoon making heart shaped woven paper baskets. They are really tricky to weave aren't they?! Well, all done now. Hopefully DD will get her craft badge at brownies when she goes back.

I've fallen behind but I'm almost caught up, only a few pages to go.

Hugs to @charlie, sounds like you're having a horrible time but well done on getting the dissertation finished, not easy given the circumstances.

LOL @ people tasting breakfast scrub :D

I saw the new Champneys products in Boots but they don't seem to appeal to me at all.

I have a few of those diet coke codes for ASOS so if anyone wants one pm me.

After I came back from holiday last week, I have just finished catching up on the thread. Sending a big hug to Sawan and Charlie and anyone else who feel they need it. EH and Rosemary hope you both have a lovely holiday.

I managed to use up one UU, Lush soap, I will never buy any of them again. I find them very drying.

One IN to report bought in France for 2.79 Euro bought in the supermarket Super U, I bought a facial moisturiser from their own brand "By U", brilliant stuff for that sort of price. Next time I am in France, I shall try other products from their range.

    Have a nice weekend.

@Sawan No idea what to say, it's very understandable that you feel devestated. Your posts have been reminding me of the film "The Notebook" so here's a quote from the last letter. Maybe you could adapt it and use it for your email.

" My Dearest Allie. I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent a summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give to you forever. I love you. I'll be seeing you. Noah."

I'll have one free in whilst we are away as there should be a free hair colour coming with my Avon order which Mum is going to sort for me as she is going to be here anyway cat-sitting.

I read a review of that on a blog recently, I like how it comes with primer. http://beaut.ie/blog/2011/avon-advance-techniques-professional-hair-colour/ Happy Holidays:)
