A Neutrogena Pure Glow moisturiser with self tan that was more like a serum. It was French and a pound shop buy last year.
WIBA? Yes, in the winter, it didn't appear to have a rated SPF, and this is a spring/summer must with me.
I've unearthed another moisturiser with self tan in, Johnson's Holiday Skin ( in Norwegian!) Debating whether to use this as I have serums I want to use up. An Olay one and an Aldi Lacura Synake.

Well, that's what happens when you buy stuff because you fancy it, instead of thinking of what's sat at home.... I have reformed.

I stepped on my tube of foot cream when it was by the bed, I think, either that or the plastic has degraded with age for there is a massive split in the side of the tube.

This led to a huge gloop of cream shooting across the bathroom this morning when I thought I would be clever and squeeze the cream out of the side of the tube.

I spent five minutes looking to see where it had landed in case I slid on it and had an accident. (!) Trying to find white cream on white surfaces is such fun, isn't it?

    Mmmm, I love this stuff!
@Pudsey, I don't know how this managed to last so long?! I was well impressed though at how little you actually do need on the shower puff. If you have a good quality shower puff, you probably only need 2-3 mls to cover your entire body with lovely suds. It's nice and moisturising too.

Ooooh.....I've got a pack of 3 shower puffs - reckon I need to get that open and make both girls and myself use one!

LOL........this didnt half make me chuckle!! :rotfl::D

I'm a little miffed today tbh - went in the shower this morning and used Elle McPherson body wash, then dollopped on Elle's body butter.........and what does dd2 say?.............."you smell like a man...............no sorry..........a gay man"!!!!

and then when I asked her to smell the Elle relax pulse point oil, she said "that smells like the dog's herbal shampoo" :o

Oh..nearly forgot to mention. I picked up the no17 crackle, so review coming up shortly. Initial impressions though - it's rubbish!!! :(

Yes defo get the bath puffs out Pudsey, they're ace! I neevr rated them before reading about them on here. When I got mine out of a gift set it had been languishing in for many years I was bowled over. That one has sadly moved onto cleaning duties and then heaven but it saved me a fortune I believe. I bought another with a sucker thing from Wilkos for 49p and it's not as great but it still works well. I put these things through the washing machine every now and then to freshen them up.
Rosemary, what a lovely looking cat. Willow's a box cat too. We had a basket for her but she wouldn't get in it. She would much rather sit in a box! DH said one night when I was at work he went to the bathroom to go to the loo before bed. There was a towel hanging over the bath and she was sitting behind it. The towel kept twitching until he moved it and found a Willow. He said "I swear if she could giggle, she would have been!". Oh she also like to sun herself in plant pots. Thankfully she's only small so she hasn't damaged herself yet (many squashed plants though). Oh and she LOVES the snow. She's like a puppy running up and down the garden making tracks with her front paws and chasing it out of the sky!

Animals are mad aren't they but so much fun!

I'm pleased I made you smile, I actually laughed out loud too - well laughed and swore!

I can't imagine not using a body puff now. I love the Wilkinson's puffs as they come with a little sucker pad. My son uses one too, a black one from Wilko's. Except in his case he uses lashings of gel.

I totally agree, if I dont get the job then thats OK but its if I do then thats when I get put into such an impossible situation...Ive never worked proper full time before for a start, and when I did, it was a 35 hour week which I did for about 3 months over the summer. This job is 48hours standard before overtime even comes into it, which isn't paid I hasten to add.
The bosses are all related - wonder if you can guess which company Im talking about eh? They sound like C$%^ to put it plainly.
The job is soul destroying and to be honest Im not sure I could lie through my teeth, steal money out of people who have little as it is.
I take the job and I don't have a life, I just exist, but I don't and I sit waiting for however many more months with no money for something else to come up. I loose no matter what I do.
Ive heard nothing but bad things about this company and it makes me feel physically sick (or maybe thats just because Ive not had a chance for lunch today) but from what it sounds like, your not allowed holiday unless booked 3 months in advance, I even read someone got thier pay reduced by £200 just for booking a dentists appointment - wether or not that is true I don't know but that terrifies me....

I wish I could - but I fear Im going to become stuck there forever if I take it

I honestly hope my dislike at the hours was enough to put them off hiring me and I won't be put in this horrible situation but I think they are that desperate for staff they'll take anyone :(

Oh Charlie, that does sound soul destroying! Don't get me wrong, I'm usually the first person to say any job is better than no job - but in this case it sounds like such a horrendous place that I'd steer well clear. Having no life, earning a pittance for it and then possibly being well and truly scr*wed over on what you do manage to earn? I'd be very wary... Have a good long think and then do what you think is best - and I guess worst case scenario, if you felt you needed to take it, it's not exactly going to be a chore to quit if it's unbearable, so you could always try a week or two and see how you find it then?

this is the trouble though, I dont know if I could feel like I could do that...
I swear no matter what I do with this one it will be wrong especialy to OH, if I take it he's going to be !!!!!! about the hours and rightly so, but if I don't then we'll both have no money as his salary is only just enough to cover us both...If I take it and then quit I fear he'll be mad at me for doing so but I stay at it and he'll complain we never see each other...which to be fair we won't....Working until 8pm each night wouldn't be so bad, except I then have to get a bus home and it seems overtime usually is until 11pm  - and on saturdays the buses run on dodgy times as it is....Oh yea and the bus costs a whopping £5 and the place is only 3 mile down the road (unfortunately not walkable as there's a motorway in between)

    *cries*

I can't beleive I didnt manage to get my Dissertation in either today, Im panicking that there is going to be SUCH a queue on Monday morning to get it bound (everyone's deadline is monday) that Im doing to end up handing it in late and fail....:(

I do apologise I have totally gone off the point of this thread

@ Rosemary Aww so lovely that pic of puss *big hugs* (did have to re-phrase what I was originally going to say :p)

Charlie - I would say don't take it, you will make your situation worse really, you will be very unhappy and more stressed, they are exploiting the current situation and that is just not on. Just hang in there a bit longer, maybe you could do more than one part time job if it comes up, also things like selling avon door to door (I did this and it's pretty good). Care work can often be available, my niece started doing this when she graduated with some sort of art degree and now she is quite well qualified in dementia care and loves it. Could you run up a leaflet offering your services as a cleaner and drop them off locally maybe. Also many big companies like to have casual workers who are available to cover sickness etc but they don't have to pay holiday pay but you can get quite a lot of work that way. Care homes do this, they are called bank staff. Also the bookies i worked at did this too - that's a job with high staff turnover, lots of part time staff and good tips - money tips.

Ive applied for a few care roles but most say I need previous experience....Also have a job application currently off with William Hill as it goes - had an online test the other day but waiting to hear back on that one (wonder if I become exempt from betting if I got that?). Most frustrating thing Ive found recently is all the jobs I could do state I need a car  even all the cleaning jobs its ridiculous....

Have sent my CV off this evening for a legal secretary which is basically what I did at my last job.....Thinking about canvassing the supermarkets at the weekend - even if hours are bad they cant be as bad as this other job.....Heck my dad is an assistant manager in a supermarket and only contracted for 43hours and gets 2 days off a week (albeit it he ususally works unpaid overtime) but still its less than what I would be potentially working....:o
Thinking of registering with all the agencies I can find in town....although I think there are actually only 3 or 4 but worth a shot...to be honest temporary jobs will suit me for now :)

Ill hopefully cheer myself up later as there is a parcel sitting in my neighbours house, they don't seem to be in at the moment though so Ill just have to wait....although thinking about it the parcel might not even be for me....theres no name on the card, it was just through my door, it could be for OH or for upstairs lol then I will be sad :p

Good news is OH had a meeting with his client last night and his client is happy with the price OH quoted him - half the cost of going direct so thats bit of extra money for us at the moment....enough to pay the rent for a month at least, shame he won't actually get paid until May but still...

On a totally random side note, seeing as I have no toiltries to discuss (apart from the fact I stupidly forgot to take any new showergel into the shower last night, by the time I realised I was soaking wet and in the end I used OH's adidas stuff, smelt manly all night lol)- has anyone found the Tesco DTD thing not working right at the moment, it very cleverly says everything that is cheaper at ASDA is not comparable on my shops, one of my reciepts only had one comparable item out of the entire shop...

Charlie, if the care roles say you need experience - tell them you looked after your elderly grandfather when he moved in with you - make it up - desparate measures but I would. Sorry if anyone thinks that's wrong but I worked as a carer without experience, I didn't need to lie but the job is common sense and a good attitude. I worked for one of the big bookmakers and you just need good maths, to be quick and good CS.

I mean your grandfather moved in with you and your parents when you were still at home. Tell them he had a hoist and other such equipment, it shouldn't come back to haunt you if you do get a job because they have to train you in moving and handling.
