Oh Juliebunny Rainbow Bridge is lovely, I'm welling up.0

I estimated the shower gel amounts on the fact that the 200ml No7 body wash has lasted me since August.
Since August??? how do you manage that - me and the 2 girls seem to get thru loads!! Mind you the eldest does have a shower EVERY night.
Can't remember who it was earlier asking about summer perfumes (sorry
) but another nice one is Davidoff cool water. It's not too expensive IIRC. It has nice grapefruity tones. A friend was raving about the Hugo Boss orange one too, I've never tried it. Be warned though, I do have funny skin and most perfumes smell horrid on me
.
It was me
Trouble is, I seem to have skin that reacts with some perfumes. My daughters have some of mine that smells better on them than me, so I ended up passing them on rosemary54 wrote: »watched that saving programme again last night and apart from wondering how mrs moneypenny would actaully help a poor family!had to laugh as Lady X making " cheap" handcream as the cost of the ingredients see used would set you back a fortune even if they did give enough stuff to last for years!!!
LOL thats true....and the bits of soap that were microwaved with olive oil............the end result just looked minging :eek:seasideDreamer wrote: »I think they were called Tesco meat free chicken style fillets, they were yummy BF even preferred them to chicken and they were free on SW:)
Oooh thanks for that - I'll have a look next time I'm in. I'm not veggie anymore, but still hate handling meat. My eldest daughter is though.
Someone mentioned about shower gels not costing much more than soap - well I reckon using soap in showers means you end up spending more on bathroom cleanser. DH started using soap but after 2 weeks I've complained and he bought a shower gel tonight.
Honestly, the amount of scum he was leaving in the bath after his shower was revolting!!! I told him off tonight because when I went for a shower this morning I almost skidded because it was slimey!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
I have another UU... The nivea in the white bottle. All 3 of those are now UU. WIBA?: Nope. I wouldn't even get them for DH. There are nicer cheaper products IMHO. He is not overly fussed as long as he has something and he's using an orange bottle of some such stuff atm which he's had on the go for ages. Even if the other stuff is more expensive for DH, at least he'll use it. I swear he brought these with him when we moved here (nearly 6 years ago!).
Maybe he has a secret stash as well! :rotfl:No more toiletries until stash cleared – Started 27/02/11£2 in the pot for each UU. To date: UU’s = 21 / Pot £42.00 / Spend £38.99:EasterBunI must (try) to eat less chocolate:EasterBun0 -

To be honest they are not....reading threads on here from thier customers says enough about them, and if I had a choice I would not work for them but it seems the only jobs for recent graduates are ones for totally unethical companies.
If do get offered the job I shall be taking it as a stop-gap just until I can find something else, no way in hell I wanted be working for them any longer than needed - but of course in my interview I 'look forward to developing my career with them'......
To be honest Im probably too over qualified and too nice a person to work for a company like that...they asked me on the phone if I actually had any GCSEs...they were pretty surprised when I said I had a degree.

My newly applied mascara is running after reading Rainbow Bridge.
I lost my second labrador last January and decided to read Marley & Me immediately after. It took me 24 hours to read it and I spent weeks wandering about crying. We really go into mourning in this house, me and DH anyway, kids seem to bounce back very quickly. For us the best thing was to get another dog, (we always have labs) and last April we did, now when Alfie does something that the others did it gives us happy memories.
On a lighter note, just opened a little bottle of M&S Per una EDT and it is gorgeous, reminds me of something else but can't put my finger on it. Really lovely though and compared to most perfumes very reasonable.
I watched superscrimpers last night, all seems a bit rushed I think. I used to like a programme a few years back with an american called Alvin Hall, he focused on one family and it went into everything that they spent, he was really jolly too. I'm glad I'm not going round to Lady whatshername's house for tea, half a pound of porridge oats in your cottage pie, a few breadcrumbs does the trick and you don't even notice them. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Thinking of you Rosemary, some people are so cruel.
Charlie good luck with the interview.

OMG...the tears are again streaming down my face after reading this!Purdy and I cuddled up on the sofa last night and she was very quiet.DS2 called so had to tell the sad news all over again, can't believe how empty the house felt.juliebunny wrote: »I don't want to sound negative, but they seem to be messing you around rather a lot - not a sign of a good employer? That is so not true and you and all us cat lovers know it
- I am giving all my cats extra hugs tonight. I am sure that all our cats live their lives by the Pink Candle philosophy - they enjoy each day, none of our silly worries, just nice food and a warm lap. When the time comes, we all meet up at the Rainbow Bridge - sorry if this is too sad:
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

woke up and made tea to take up to bed as usual, most days Bumble would come up with me and sit on our chests and kiss us (purdy usually had to go out so came up late)so to lie there all alone was awful and set me off again.feel a complete wreck:(
thanks again for all hugs and good wishes0 -

If I was being very cost conscious I would certainly use this.
See, herein lies my problem - I now want to pop to Poundland to get one to test! must resist... :rotfl::rotfl:mcculloch29 wrote: »Grief is the price we pay for love, whether it is from a human being or for (and from) an animal. I would rather have had the love for all the animals I have had - and all the human loved ones I have lost - than not had it.
What a beautiful statement, and so definitely true.
Right then, so last night I took all my toiletries out of the boxes I'd used to stash them away so I wouldn't feel claustrophobic with all the mess in the bathroom, and put them back out on the shelves, the side of the bath, the floor - anywhere that there was room really!:rotfl: My thinking being that I was having a bit of 'out of sight, out of mind' psychology and by being reminded of actually how much I have daily, I'll be less inclined to 'treat' myself to new ones - especially having found some lovely stuff that I'd almost forgotten I had!!
Hilariously, my boyfriend saw it all and told me it was 'photo-worthy'!!!:D:D:D And he doesn't even know about this thread and the photos of lovely stashes you all have!!!! made me giggle anway!
So, have sorted them into some semblance of order - nice treats in one row, everyday use in another, splutterers to the front to use up. I'll have another browse through tonight to see if there's anything further to get rid of - I'm certain there is more stuff I'll just not use and so can donate to Give and Makeup - still got a growing box that I'll drop round to them soon.
Either tha or I'll get fed up very soon and box it all up again! :rotfl:0 -
Hugs to Rosemary

I have a UU :jAvon Skin So Soft bosy wash - WIBIA probably no, nice smell but couldn't get the lid to get the dreggs
Hope everyone has a nice weekend, forecast is good
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0
