Hi yes and yes, I had chicken pox about 30 years ago whilst on a weeks camping trip with school:eek:.They thought they were bites;);)

Guess I will have to phone Gp surgery about them. This could explain why I have been feeling rubbish over the past few days

Just having a quick read and not a huge amount of time. But just wanted to say go to GP asap and get the anti-virals (they apparently only work if you get there in the first few days).

My Mum started with shingles just after New Year, went to Dr who DIDN'T give her them  and she has had an awful time. Still in pain and low energy now nearly 3 months later!!!

JulieG yes feeling much more positive. The scales showed another pound off and I gave myself a good talking to, slow and steady will suit me fine. Feeling so good, I have just come back from a 40 minute power walk:eek: No I haven't read the first one, I often read them out of order just cos I can't wait to get the first one:cool:

NMP just to echo what agirliegirl said, my nephew went through junior school ok with a lot of support and a full time teaching assistant and senior school had a unit within the school that supported kids with all sorts of learning difficulties. I guess its down to whats available in your area, and I am sure you are very clued up on that. He did have a supported job part time through our local council but was recently laid off due to lack of funding:mad: but he is so organised bless him he has paid everything like his car insurance up front for 12 mnths as he had an inkling this might happen.

Why is it when you go for a walk with no make up on and your hair in a scrunchy that you bump into the lad you fancied like mad from school who still looks gorgeous and cool and you look like you've been dragged through a hedge:rotfl:

    Afternoon All
Another short day for me today, been taking half days as I had accrued 4 days extra to go to Oz on Saturday. As I'm now not going till July and the head teacher retires tomorrow I have to use the time up. Going in later tomorrow and then we are off for 2 weeks for the spring break. Off to Head Teacher's retirement do tonight - not too far from me for a change so if DD not here to take me over I will take the car and then go and get it in the morning. It's not going to be a very rowdy night but it's nice to have a glass of wine with my dinner!

Sorry so many of you are feeling down/poorly, hope things improve soon. Happy birthday to Floss, have a great day. JackieO - I hope you have a great holiday and the weather is kind to you. It is presently blowing a gale and raining hard here! Not much good for the washing, have had to put it all on the airers.

Made a trip to Ikea the other day and got a reduced unit for the back hallway so that looks a lot tidier and all had a good clean while I was at it. Also got some lovely Cath Kidston style bedding for me (just fancied a treat). House seems to be fairly under control, all the kitchen cabinets have been cleaned and sorted and will save the rest for my 2 week break!

    Take care. XX

Wow it's blowing a hoolie outside. Suns still around so here's hoping my pegged washing doesn't take off and fly like a kite

snoozer - hugs for you lovey xxx

Hi there hope you don't mind me joining in. I've finally got a couple of days off work!

Got the WM on first thing and then pootled off to the hospital for my xray. Lovely little community hospital, was 10 minutes early but I was called in straight away. I was back out again in 5 minutes....wonderfully efficient. Stop off at MrA on the way back and picked up a couple of bits and posted my mums card for Sunday. Arrived home just in time to catch the postman with a parcel for me...that'll save a trip to the post office. WM emptied and hung on the airer. Just had a spot of lunch and now I'm off to find the local library so I can join and have a browse.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Hugs to all those that need them

NPM I am glad you are feeling a bit more upbeat today smiley-hug013.gif

snoozer Sorry to hear about your Dad (((((((Hugs))))))

Scooter batteries have still not arrived so I will be ringing the company in a little while to ask why.

Found out today all the footpaths on our road (which is ¾ mile long) are going to be dug up and renewed, and that is going to take 8 weeks which will make life really hard for those who are disabled or have youngsters in buggies.

    Well must fly TTFN x
