Morning all.
Happy Birthday Floss. Hope you have a good day.
It was a long day yesterday and I was blimmin' knackered. The farm visit wasn't brilliant. It was sold as one thing and turned out to be another so the nursery won't be using them again.
With DC2, it is difficult because we think he is on the spaectrum, he has Speech and Language difficulties. The school won't get him assesed yet, they are adopting a wait and see approch. Mainly down to funds we suspect. So he has been labled a naughty child and certain children knoaw how to wind him up so he lashes out. I am seeing the Parent Support Worker this afternoon. Would any one who have children on the spectrum be kind enough to talk to me about it?
This morning I have an appointment in town to talk about my pension. So I will be out all day today as it is not worth me walking to town and then home and then up to school at lunchtime for my appointment and then up to school again for pick up.
We had Mac. Cheese from the freezer last night with the Gruffalo crumble for pudding. Will be bunging a chili in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. Wash in the WM. Need to sort and fold clothes from airers and hang out. Empty and fill DW. Also find Council Tax bill and bank statement for the FA.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Morning Friends,
A wet morning here as well but supposed to brighten up later
Everyone gone off to work and school, DH didn't get in until 7 last night and then spent most of the evening on the phone for work. I don't mind really, it is our only income now I am at home so its got to be a priority and I know he is laying the groundwork for when we go to Australia next year:D
No washing today will save it for tomorrow. Tea tonight is sausage casserole.
Had an exciting phone call last night from my son in Australia to say he had just got engaged:T soo excited, she is a lovely girl and couldn't have picked anyone better for him, Really pleased:D
Have a new Nora Roberts to read Bed of Roses so may sneak a few pages of that in as well.
Didn't think a great deal of the Superscrimpers programme, it may get better.
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

morning!
damp here this morning.
Managed to get the ceilings done yesterday in the hall/stairs and a little bit of wall. Not sure if I'll get time to do any today but hope to have a good go at it tomorrow.
Visiting Mums elderly friend this afternoon in her nursing home - taking her some Chocolate which is about all that she can manage to eat - the home say its all thats keeping her going, she's blind, deaf and bedboundd weighing about 3 and a half stone. Not a nice way to end up as she has no quality of life at all.
Washing is hung indoors today. I',m off out for a meal tonight with my work mates so DH is going freezer surfing:D
I enjoyed the Scrimpers programme, didn't learn anything though. Would like to see them save money for people already on the breadline where its not quite so obvious where money can be saved.
Essex Girl - good luck to your DD with her production x
(((hugs))) to NPM and CandyGirl (will you see Boo on her Birhday?)x x x
have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning All ,
Didn't get to read or post yesterday (I don't think - please corret me if I'm wrong it's entirely possible
)so huggles if you need them.
DH still not very well - no date through for his "emergency" scan yet then... S*dding men, why not just go to the doctor's when the pain actually starts rather than waiting for 3 weeks while is gets progressively worse, hoping it'll go away
Anyway, I need to get on with some ironing tonight when I get home from work (last day tomorrow folks :j). Tea will be Spanish Chicken.
Hugs to all those in need/want xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Julie67 Have you read the first NR Book? As Bed of Roses is book 2 of 4... I am waiting for all 4 to free up before I get them from the library, I like to ready books together you see!
How are you feeling about the GI now? I've still got to finish reading yesterdays thread, so sorry if you've already answered it!
EDIT: FINISHED READING I find like you I also see butter and cheese as 'bad' it's hard to get the balance right... but after years I realised that Full Fat Cheese and Butter have less adatives and are therefore better for you, so I eat them where it is sensbile without fear. My problem is Mayonaise... FF has 1/5th of the carbs and yet I cannot change from LF!!!
With meat I eat any meat available, but avoid obvious fat! And that helps
Morning Everyone x
My Childminder went sick yesterday, so I had to leave work early... a neighbour is taking DS to school and picking him up again as a favour! Why couldn't she wait until next week (when I am part time and don;t need childcare anymore!!??!!
Today for Dinner is LO Pesto pasta for the boys and I am having cheese and Tomato on toast with watercress salad (someone gave me chalke valley watercress yesterday!!)
Am looking forward to my last day in the office tomorrow
Hope you all have a good day xxxWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining in. I started in the basement of the Bankruptcy/IVA threads but just know that the Old Style will be a great help.
My DW has taken DS to the hospital and I'm off to work now.
Thanks for all the posts. This site is a lifeline.

Morning everyone.
In a total grump today
H's scooter has broken down again. Stupid piece of
(you can fill in the expletives). I've been telling him for ages to get it booked in and he's ignored it and just stuck with using the kick start. Grrrr dithering just like his dad does, all because I don't want him to have to lug it to Halesowen where he bought it from. Why not use somewhere that's closer.
Having a fit about the state of the house. No matter what I do the carpet gets stained (kids/H/cat), bl00dy toys everywhere arrrrrgh and H WILL not remember how to take his outdoor shoes off when he goes upstairs !!!!!!. I mean he's nearly 39 not 5 so how come the kids can manage to do it but not him.
If you hear someone screaming it's just me
Sorry not being very positive or upbeat today but weather is vile, am tired and just feeling sorry for myself.
No hugs required need what my dad would says is a foo foo pill :rotfl:
Floss - Happy birthday, have a lovely day
Tiger - will send you a PM xx
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or notI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Good Morning to all before and all who follow. Wet here today both on foot and the sky is heavy with grey rain clouds. Luckily I only have a little load of whites to do that can wait till tomorrow.Did the rest last night as I couldn't sleep so pottered round did some washing , only have to hoover this morning:j:j.I have an itchy side this morning and having looked in the mirror I have a patch on my side that has about 20 spots that look like blisters but are so itchy:eek::eek:. How many times can you have chicken pox:question::question:
DS1 is off to the theatre tonight as part of his Alevel drama course cant remember what he is going to watch but am sure it will be good. Ds4 is off school again, he broke down yesterday whilst sitting the entrance exam for the engineering course he wants to do next year, feel like I have pushed him a little to far this time so feeling crap about that:(.The school are allowing him to sit the test at home with a teacher present in 15 min blocks next week. Luckily a big chunk of the course is coursework that is done on computers so he will be able to pace himself with that if he gets on the course .
Dinner tonight is toad in the hole and veg with yummy onion gravy (just saw ed baines make it on Lorraine)
Hope all are well and have a good day:wave:Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0
