Should you only ignore unfair tickets?

Ok...pose a question along the lines of 'I've had a PPC ticket, what should I do?' that requires any answer other than "ignore it".
If you just said "ignore it", that would be fine. But countless lines of spammy tripe isn'tOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
A certain poster on this thread reminds me of the story about the army recruit who keeps insisting to the drill sergeant that he is the only one marching 'in-step'.0

Here you go...simply highlight the errorsOopsadaisy wrote: »PPC Advice
We appreciate that you believe that there are certain things about your case that makes it unique. The good news is that it’s not unique. It can be - think!
It has been many a year since there has been a PPC case which did not fit into the std answer of ignore it all. You have a record of all known cases?? I should get it up to date and accurate if I were you.
Firstly if it's council/police - go to Pepipoo forums and post the details and a copy of the PCN [front and back] on there. Council/Police issue Penalty Charge Notices [and are the only ones allowed to do so]. The Police can issue PCNs?? No, don't get me wrong, they can! I just want to know in what circumstances and where?
If it's a PPC then......they issue ‘invoices’ [often made to resemble official PCNs]; often call their invoices Parking Charge Notices [same initials, see part of the scam]. These are legally unenforceable as [leaving aside signage, etc] the PPCs needs to prove who was driving the car [not just name the Registered Keeper (which is all the council/police have to do)].Like I've said - wrong, crucially so and, on a legal point of some strength I might add. Nothing else matters.
So in essence, if it’s a PPC….
Ignore everything [unless you get an N1 from the court].
Really...ignore everything.
Seriously...ignore everything.
Truly...ignore everything.

Well, as I've said, 85% potentially wrong in some circumstances. A situation you have posted about yourself btw, in another thread, but according to you in that thread, highly unlikely anything had ever been pursued??? Based on what? Have you clicked which situation I'm referring to yet?? Nope - and that's why you should not be posting your drivel.
One last question. In the event that someone followed your advice but a ppc had a bad day and decided to pursue as far as Court, what would your advice be then? Would you propose a defence as eloquent as your postings here or would you defer to those qualified to rescue the situation (I'm not one btw). Would that not be somewhat embarrassing or are you just satisfied that your uninformative and unexplained drivel is your place in the chain of advice offered?
Please do try and answer fairly quickly cos I have a feeling, if this forum has any credibility at all, you won't be around to do so very much longer.0 -
Loathe as I am to engage in anything that might be interpreted as being ad hominem there are a number of apparent coincidences in Oopsadaisy's posting habits of late that, as I have already referred to above (and others have made similar recent references to in other threads), have something of a reminiscent feel to them. I have also suggested that it may be entirely coincidental that Oopsadaisy joined on the 22 January 2010 and that BFG had "left" just two days before on 20 January 2010. BFG having been an exponent of the lengthy, sometimes rambling and spamming post that, frankly, the forum, in terms of what it offers the first-time visitor, is the better for IMHO.
As pointed out we all have our own little idiosyncrasies in our writing style; the use of irony, sarcasm, hyperbole or particular turns of phrase etc all of which may depend on our mood; our views; the topic itself or, perhaps, our feelings toward the OP or another poster.
However, there are other habits we all have in the way we write and are probably largely unconscious of. Like perhaps Oopsadaisy's habitual use of what might be described as an exaggerated ellipsis – a series of full stops (most usually just three) generally used to indicate an intentional pause, hesitation or deliberate and perhaps allusory omission - such as may be seen in these posts:
Post 1.
A little more subtly here: Post 2.
And finally in his reply above: Post 3.
There are plenty of other examples to be found.
In addition to the use of ellipsis, Oopsadaisy also favours the use of square brackets - [ and ] - as opposed to those more commonly used of the rounded variety - ( and ). Examples of this may be seen in the following three posts, although there are plenty of other examples to be found:

Let's now take a look at some of BFG's old posts (again, there are ample examples):

Are there similarities? Are the similarities significant?
Then of course there was BFG's bete noire - spelling - as typified in this post. Could it be that this post suggests that Oopsadaisy has developed a similar love/hate relationship with the use of language by some posters? My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

How does trying to link me to a naughty, bad boy [or girl] advance your argument??
So I guess ad hominem might apply.
ps...I love US gangstas too, but I wouldn't go so far as to have a username that denigrates women to such an extent.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

If a PPC issued court papers and the OP came back for further advice then I would happily give them sound advice.
Only a fool would ignore an N1.
The defence would not be 'ignore everything' as that would not be correct.
I have never posted 'ignore everything' to any question where a PPC has genuinely issued court papers [otherwise you would have found it when you read through all my previous posts].
I've answered your question....so here's one for you: Could you give an example of a PPC issue where my advice is incorrect?? Just a teeny, weeny one?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
