Should you only ignore unfair tickets?

in Parking tickets, fines & parking
I was parked 10 minutes over my parking ticket and chappie was walking around with his mini computer. I am fairly certain I am going to get a ticket through the post soon but technically they are not wrong I was there longer than my ticket allowed.

Should I ignore it when it does come through or should you only ignore it if it is unfair?

Any help to ease my mind would be much appreciated

    It belongs to a shopping company but the car park is run by someone else altogether

    If it is from a private company, ignore it. PPC tickets are all unfair.
    If it's from a council, appeal it whether you think it's unfair or not.

    I think it is UKPC who distribute the parking tickets on behalf of West Quay retail park in Southampton.
