mrcow wrote:Sorry to be dumb, but are you all referring to the theory that if you have bad heartburn/indigestion during pregnancy then your baby will have lots of hair?
QUOTE]
Yes, I had no heartburn at all and baby had lots of hair (4 inchs long) everyone commented on her hair and said how was heartburn? I didn't have any- lucky me! but was sick from week 6 till week 40+10 every day.0 -
my ds is now 5 months old and has just started loosing his hair. He was covered in it when he was born and i mean covered... arms, legs back and bum! he still has a hairy builders bum now!
i had awful heartburn but couldnt stand the gavascon stuff.. mints.. peppermint tea, milk (chocolate) and ice cubes seemed to help. what made it worse were oranges, coke, garlic, bread and pasta.. shame as my craving was spagetti carbonara!
I too am 5ft, and was told that he would be huge.. near 13lb they thought at one point.. he was a dinky 7lb5oz born by emergancy csection as they got him annoyed and distressed by poking me about too much! hes now only just doubled his birthweight.
Happy to show off pics if any one wants to seeDeliver us from email....0 -
I got throught a bottle of Gaviscon a week when I was pregnant with DS, used to regularly end up swigging it straight from the bottle!
DS had a full head of hair when he was born, it was on his back, ears and the tops of his arms!
You really have my sympathy, heartburn sucks big time!**Trying my best to be the best that I can**

I feel for you! I had this with my 5 kids. I had allergy tests done with the last 2 and found that cutting out certain foods really helped. They were different foods each time. They do the tests in health food stores and some chemists.
With baby 4 it was wheat, and we went on holiday to Malta half way through the pregnancy. On the flight we had profiteroles which I could not resist. Well, the heartburn was horrible! We arrived at the hotel late at night and I dived into my suit case for the gavisgon, was just about to take a swig and decided to check what it was first........It was the bottle of bleach I had packed to clean the bathroom with
Last time round it was yeast, I avoided it and was comfortable, had some and it was a nightmare.0
