I have a straight cut shredder at home but it does not compact down nearly as well as my cross cut at work - apart from the obvious added security - so the idea of a freebie was most appealing. However when I put the code in as suggested by zcaprd7 I was told "sorry, you haven't won a prize this time". Any suggestions?

That is an unrelated competition Grattan enter you into for free after each order - your order should have gone through - no charges at the moment because it is a credit account.
  • I saved myself the price of a shredder by burning all my documents.... ;)

I shread all my stuff at work in the industrial shredder :D Does a few pages at once, and totally disintegrates anything that goes through it. Ate the cable of the womans nokia phone charger who spends most of her time down there :p Used to burn all my stuff though in an old metal bucket but it got a hassle and messy.

Please Sir whats the difference between a crosscut and a '??????' ?
Just in case you were serious, and really don't know.
A standard shredder will cut your documents into strips. A cross cut shredder will then cut the strips across, and turn them into confetti
Think that is not necessary? Well ask the Americans who shredded sensitive documents in their Iranian embassy, and the Iranians just glued them back together. Your friendly local identity thief can do the same.http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/icons/icon7.gif

It's better to travel hopefully than arrive...
  • I'm cheaper than all of you!

I save up my documents, papers, etc. in a plastic bag in my closet, bring it into work when it is fulll and use the cross cut shredder at my office! :p
